It is interesting that the majority of the fans on the board are picking us to go 8-4. This board will explode if we go 8-4 and will be calling Rocky's head.

More are picking us to win 10+ than to only win 8. I'd hedge the last statement - a few of the same ole people who ask for any and every coach to be fired at every opportunity will be calling for Rocky's head. Nobody else. |

I think we start 2-2 out of the first 4 but then run the table until New Mexico to end the year.
I can see us dropping that last game especially if the West side of the Conference is all wrapped up.

UCD We win but don't look that great doing it. Game is close for most of the first 2 and a half quarters.. we finally pull ahead and win by 17. @asu Our method of subbing frequently on defense helps us. So does ASU's marginal run defense. We take hold of this game in the second half and overcome a 10 point deficit and win by 10. Stan too many mistakes against a really good opponent is our undoing. Have to give up on the ground game and can't control time of poss. This is our recipe for a loss. Stanford wins by 14. @afa Rocky has the magic formula for playing against the option. We pick up our 3rd win on the season with a tight 3 point victory. NIU This team is coming into its own. O line is clicking. Fans are starting to turn out in droves. Aztecs don't 'coug' this one and win by 20. @unlv Trap game. With Boise ahead, Aztecs are tempted to look ahead over an improving UNLV. But after falling behind early, Aztecs rally for a 3 point win. BSU Boise is good but won't even be the top team in the Mountain division. We win by 7. Crowd goes wild!!!! FSU Not enough beef for these valley boys. Aztecs dominate at home. Keep hold of the old oil can. Aztecs win by 21. @haw Hawaii is getting better but turnovers kill the bows. Aztecs cruise in the islands with a ten point win. @sjsu San Jose is getting better but not good enough. We win by 14. Notice all these games are tighter this year? UNR Nevada is a beaten team before we even play. Injuries and off the field defections have hurt this once stable program Aztecs win by 18. The game is never close. UNM Aztecs fall behind early but don't want to lose their last home game of the season. Chapman throws for a ton and Aztecs win by 9. That's 11 wins heading into a MWC championship vs. Col. I originally thought 8-4 coming in to the season, and after the ASU game I revised my, "Prediction," to 10-2. I'll be VERY happy if they go 10-2 in the regular season. How many times have the Aztecs gone 10-2 (or 9-2 before the schedules went to 12 games) in the last 37 years?
If they go 11-1 it will be phenomenal! Yeah, 12-0 would have been a season for the ages, but they lost so much talent that it wasn't realistic to even expect 11-1 coming in to this season. And yet it's still a possibility! That's a testament to what a great job Rocky has done.
