First time I've heard them say it in public. Sterk said it at an event over a year ago, prior to leaving. They'd been saying it before that as well. CSU/SDSU has always been poised to buy the land IF made available for a fair market value purchase. I think ideally they'd prefer to have a partner to lead development of most of the land, since that's not their specialty, but they'll find one if they have to run point. Clearly Kevin Faulconer doesn't want SDSU to purchase the land. We will purchase land in MV one way or another however. |

Oh, BTW, the biggest news from the event hasn't been mentioned. Beer will be sold at TGwynn, the Softball field and yes, Viejas this year! : ) Great, longer lines for food and drinks and too pee at halftime. |

Or since people are drinking more they'll need to go more DURING play & halftime may be less crowded. : ) Maybe they'll add portables.... I'm guessing they'll be their own designated booths rather than general concessions, so those lines may actually be shorter now as well (fewer cokes). |

Take it then, that the recruit for MBB is for 2018-19 team ? So can not name drop .
Much talk about the Free Fan Fest FB scrimmage at the Q for 8/19 , less then 2 months away ?

Take it then, that the recruit for MBB is for 2018-19 team ? No, it sounded like it was for THIS year's team, a '17 recruit. Right after he said we have a visitor he alluded to the fact we're still recruiting this late in the process because there are so many transfers (40% of those sign eventually transfer, etc.), so my guess is it's a transfer (although could be HS kid I guess). Doesn't mean he'll sign but we're not done reaching out yet. As noted, he mentioned he loves the 11 he has right now & that's about all he wants during a given year, so reading well between the lines I'm thinking it's a regular transfer who would redshirt, thus not adding to that 11. That's guessing though. As for football scrimmage I think recruiting and the beginning of camp are more on Rocky's mind than the end of camp. The people in attendance will receive 10+ emails between now & then about it, so no reason to mention it. |

will be interested to hear who visits - as it becomes known.
Also feel it is very important to be getting the word out to the Public as often as possible about the Free FB Fan Fest Event . Come get a great look at San Diego's D1 team Build up as much publicity as early as possible for the season . Start the ball rolling .
