Allen and the phantom menace. I've never seen a player receive more phantom fouls calls in a career. His freakish length and energy regularly caused his opponents to panic and the refs generally responded with a whistle. Don't get me wrong, he certainly committed fouls like any player has. The man just seemed to call a foul whether there was any visual evidence that he'd committed an infraction.

I never complain about the refs but last night was really bad. Usually bad calls on both sides....But wow they let the rams back in the game ...some rally bad calls on Allen.

The blocking call that refs called on D.A.and his 4th personal foul was just ridiculous. Clavelle lowered his shoulder and ran right over D.A. All year when an offensive player lowered his shoulder and ran into a defensive player it was called a charge. All Year!!!!!!!!!!!-until last night. How many times has Kell and Z. been called for an offensive foul when doing the same thing?
The play before that bad call was another bad blocking call on D.W. Those two calls changed the entire momentum of the 2nd half. The history of the MWC officials is that the player who is the leading scorer in the conference gets every call in their favor. Clavelle will get shut down by Nevada, he isn't that good, D.A. shut him down last night, the refs opened the door for him. This is just a pathetic conference.
At one time in the 2nd half we had 7 fouls CSU had 2.
One good thing about the season being over is I will not have to look at the egocentric women beater's face on my TV screen anymore.

I am sure the refs don't like players whining about calls. Just like it didn't help Jamaal. But Jamaal was a freak who overcame all that. His sweet revenge was the Oklahoma game where he was a one man wrecking crew fouling out players from the Sooners. I agree that Allen did get some bad calls. But it happens, you must overcome.

Jeremy needs to learn the full court jog with a player on his back to a HARD dribble stop and the defender falls on his back for a unnecessary foul! At his best, Jamaal got that call a few times a game.

Those refs should never work another game. In fairness, there were some bad calls against CSU, like when Kell drove the lane and Paige got a fingernail tip on his elbow. But those two non-calls on Clavell charges totally changed the complexion of the second half. I suspect CSU would have won, anyway, but it would have been nice to see things play out fairly.

There really does need to be some official pressure on a few of these clowns - they're used not only by the Worst, but also by other conferences in the west. They all need to be evaluated - seriously.

Usually when there's a disparity in the number of fouls the team with more points in the paint get more fouls called against their opponent. We dominated in points in the paint yet...

Another problem is it is the same small pool of officials over and over again. How many SDSU games has Eric Curry for instance "officiated" over the last five years? I am tired of seeing his face.

Not sure about the effect of whining. CSU players and coaches complained about EVERY call (at least it felt that way).... But as others have said CSU did make plays at the end, and we did not....

And two of them ref'd the championship game today. Plus Vern Harris and David Hall are doing the Ariz.-Oregon P12 game tonite. CSU only had one foul today in the first 15 or 16 minutes of the first half. Seems almost impossible.

In hindsight, I guess maybe our players should have gone over and shook the officials' hands when the starting lineups were being made like the CSU players did. I could see that making them subconciously favor them over us. It was either that, or each of those CSU players was palming a benjie for them.

prior to our game Friday, to the Colorado state player who used the racist n...a word something like "look at the moves by that n...a" in mixed company sitting in 121 row 3. the jerk in 120 row 2 wanted me ejected for my anger. that is not acceptable language and another player beside me minutes later said the m f word loudly. I got warned when I called david a. hall by his full name. the mwc must set up a players only section like in the past to avoid conflicts with opposing fans. that is why I was very upset during the first half of the nevada-fresno state game. last, because of the biased officials I blew off Saturday's championship game. last, the entertainment woman must show opposing fans respect and wait for a time out to bring down 100 girls blocking my view of the Nevada fresno state game. the courtside usher backed me up and said I was correct. yes I made clean comments. this happened first.
