Awesome! This can only help recruiting! Yeah, now that the "dead, quiet, calm, whatever periods" are over time for Rocky & Co. to hopefully finish off their recruiting needs!

First time since I have been an Alumnus that the team has finished ranked in the AP Top 25. Very proud. 'Nuff said. Bring on 2017!

Nice to see the team finished ranked. Well earned by the players and Coach Long.
Now the debate for the doldrums is.. Of the teams that finished ahead of the Aztec #20-#24 (or any other team ahead) which team could SDSU have beaten. I think SDSU would of beaten #15 W. Mich, #12 Stanford, #20 Miami.
#20 Miami 9-4 #21 L-Ville 9-4 #22 Tenn. 9-4 #23 Utah 9-4 #24 Auburn 8-5

Yes! Bragging rights for this proud Aztec alum in Texas. Aztecs finished higher than ANY team in Texas!

Next year big crowds after beating Stanford and ASU, Access Bowl and announcement of funding drive for new SDSU West Campus (including stadium).

I have a feeling that this team is going to blow up next year! If we even come close to this years win/loss record....we will have a great opportunity to become one of the elite problems in California.

Blow up! Blow up? Assuming you are generations behind me, you mean blow UP as in wonderful. Right? Here's what you need to study if you want to be more than a casual fan. This coming team loses the best senior leadership it ever had. It cannot be replaced by just good talent. Figure out how to replace four OL starters and best combo of DL, LB, CB, safety starters we've ever had . Oh, and the best RB in Aztec history. Get back to us and we'll buy " blow up". Hope you're still interested in October when a young team in learning the hard way. Many here will have turned away by then. You?

Who wins the Running Back job?

Why would it not be #20. Although no one replaces #19. Our run game will not be the same early next year, but it has potential for late season if new OL pieces mature. A very big IF.

DE to replace Barrett (I like our DL but not sure we have anyone that can fill his shoes or even get close) 5. Punter 6. Corner ..and the gap between #1 & #2 is larger than between the others. If Schmidt sticks around & that line can gel this team could be extremely good.
