I highly doubt Brady will be allowed to stay. Job security for coaches isn't very good especially with losing records.

I wonder if there is some thought to luring Kelly back from the pros, after all SF isn't tearing up the NFL!

I don't know if this will ever happen, but it seems that colleges are sure wasting a lot of money signing these guaranteed and then not keeping their coaches for the complete term of the contract. It could be that in the future they may structure the contract to be guaranteed for only 2-3 years with each side negotiating a new one after the term is up, or only having the contract good for one year at a time.
You may think that is ridiculous, but the old manager of the Dodgers, Walter Alston, use to only sign a contract for one year, and he renewed it each year for 20 years!!!!!

Brady is not so badly off.
.... defensive coordinator Brady Hoke is under contract through 2019.
