This is USC's well known strategy for "buying a recruit." Pretty sad and I'm a bit surprised they would do this after the Tony Bland scandal, etc. Not sure if you guys know this or not, but Dwayne Polee Sr. was hired by USC after Dwayne Polee Jr. verbally committed to USC as a freshman in high school. Polee eventually commited to Syracuse and Polee Sr. "resigned" shortly thereafter. That same year Rudy Hackett was a conditioning coach while his son Daniel Hackett was on the team. OJ Mayo was also on the team, who eventually caused the whole season to be wiped off the record books due to the inappropriate benefits scandal. There are more instances of this stuff going on at USC. It's crazy how many violations USC has had in the past and they still don't learn from it. There is nothing wrong with it and i wish we would do the same agreed

except how many coaches are you allowed to have ? Can afford ? What if the Father doesn't have much to contribute ?

I’m guessing the dad has some b-ball knowledge if he has been around high levels of b-ball. It doesn’t take a lot of knowledge to cut game clips....

And a pair of 5 star sons is an even better contribution.

or are we just upset that USC beat us to hiring him - as we go for the good team of nice coaches - bottom line need to be able to recruit top players instead of the under radar guys

SDSU till listed as an option, 99.99% sure he ends up at USC. Unless, sanctions hit and his dad and bro escape elsewhere.

This shuts the door on Mobley, the #1 player in 2020 is going to USC.

Here's the timeline: In September 2017, Tony Bland gets busted and fired, so Einfield has an opening. At the time, Eric Mobley was coaching the Compton Magic. But everyone knew Eric Mobley wasn't going to stay with the Compton Magic. He had colleges lining up to hire him as an assistant coach. Why? Because his two sons Isiah and Evan were the best brother duo in the country. In March 2018, Einfeld hired Eric Mobley to be an assistant coach to basically take Tony Bland's position. In May 2018, Isiah Mobley, a 5-star 6'9" 220 pound forward, commits to USC. Now Evan Mobley, a 7'0" recruit who is the #1 recruit in the nation, commits to play for USC. For 2019 USC had the #6 recruiting class in the nation, including 5-star recruit Onyeka Okongwu, who is the two-time Mr. Basketball in California. The $$$ scandal hasn't hurt USC one bit.

Why u$c? Because working out at the beach during the summer requires stiff penalties from the nc2a. Paying $$$$$ bribes to acquire players gets a free pass with NO penalty from the nc2a.
Sort of like having a bogus course system for 1100 students to get fake grades with no nc2a penalty for anybody. The students even get to keep their bogus unearned degrees.
