College students protesting something. Yeah that's a new phenomenon. Kids these days should just shut up, toe the line, and accept the status quo like all us older folk did back in the day. Haha true. Except back in the day, protesters weren't bringing lame "holy war" stuff on campus that will never be resolved, especially 7,000 miles away from the source.

Yes, professional organizations. There are activist groups all across the country that try to remove certain mascot names from Universities. This topic is brought up every year, not just with San Diego State. Florida State has been hit hard by these activist. So has North Dakota Fighting Sioux...as well as Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It is not the student body. Quit the old miserable bastard talk of "kids these days". It is not them. It is actual activist organizations that start these campaign. But, their ploy is to spread the word around the student body. The student body vote is the most powerful thing for a university. I never said that kids "start" these silly campaigns; kids "today" don't have common sense was what I was trying to get at, regardless of whatever organizations are puppet-mastering them. I'm not mad at the organizations that start certain campaigns (political, or otherwise), I'm simply showing my dismay for young people who blindly follow certain causes and don't fully examine them from all angles simply because they feel passionate about something on that specific day. Yup, the student body vote might be the most powerful thing for a university. However, if the student body is careless enough to vote for a cause while being uninformed, then that's what they get and that's what they have to live with. No blame from me against professional organizations or a big, bad company trying to influence their vote. I'm not saying I agree with it, just that young people need to take responsibility for things like researching certain topics. As long as there are people willing to be influenced by specific organizations, those organizations and their agendas will always exist. You can't possibly be serious here if you think this is a problem only associated with the 'kids', young people, or youth of today. Look around - this issue that you allude to is everywhere and not specific to any age group.

As somebody wearing this shirt to work today, I'm really getting a kick out of these comments... (Home-made, I might add)
