What I find odd is that we had 1 vote in last week's coaches' poll, won two games (including against #2 in conference), and didn't at least get that same vote! We didn't get a vote in the coaches poll last week. Just the one in the AP poll Ah... must have had my eyes crossed while re-reading the thread. Somehow, I got it in my mind that it was the other way around. ... either that, or I just need more coffee before hitting this place.

Interesting we get that many votes in the AP and not one in the coaches...wonder if there's ever been a team ranked in the top 25 in the AP and not a single vote in coaches before? The coaches' poll tends to be a lagging indicator as often than not. Given there are 22 reporters who placed us in their Top 25 rankings, give it another week of winning and we should be getting votes in the coaches' poll as well. Just keep on winning. There aren't 22 reporters who gave us a single vote each only 5 who voted for us. Fletcher Mackel had us at #18 which is worth 8 pts Elton Alexander had us at #21 which is 5 pts Chris Dachille had us at #22 which is 4 pts Zac Boyer had us at #23 which is 3 pts Kevin McNamara had us at #24 which is 1 pt 22 points in the AP Poll collegepolltracker.com/basketball/team/sdsu/2015

Got it. Always assumed they were tabulated a certain way - thanks for that. Okay then. So there are five reporters who have us in their Top 25. I'm still cool with that - that's 5 times more reporters than had us in their polls last week.

And 44th in Realtimerpi.com.
Anyone know why difference sources have different RPI rankings? Isn't it a definitive calculation? It's weird that I've seen 3 different RPI's..... It's not like it's different formulas from different computer ranking models (e.g. Massey vs. Sagarin vs. Kenpom vs. ESPN's BPI, etc.). Odd.
Did think it was funny that we caught (& passed per some) the "other" SDSU.

I'm pretty sure SMU is not allowed to be ranked by the coaches because they're banned from postseason. Same goes for Louisville

That is really weird to be ranked 29th in one poll And receive no votes in the other Especially with LBSU upsetting Hawaii AT Hawaii
And Cal blowing away Stanford. Disrespect or maybe coaches worship Mister Makeup Parrish?? huh??? OK. I like LBSU . They play the game right and I like their coach not a jerk unlike our last two opponents coaches. Even like Faust and his Jamaal like temper. Best player in Big West. I think they will win the Big West at the end. Quality win by SDSU in my book. My opinion. But maybe I'm wrong.
If so replace that with Illinois State beating #21 Wichita State couple days back. We are definitely underrated. Cuz we ain't Power 5.

Do no coaches in the MGC have a vote in the coaches poll (not including Fisher of course)? You'd think they'd want to support their own in order to make the conference look better from a national perspective. But then again, this is the MGC where they like to $#!+ on their own instead of taking care of their own.

They'll need help, and they'll need to win at UC Irvine, a team that beat them at home. They do get Hawaii in Long Beach to end the season, plus the tourney. My money would be on Irvine - LBSU is just too inconsistent. Faust is talented, but I think the guy who dictates how far they go is Hammonds. That guy can be lights out (8-10 from 3 against Oregon), or he can completely disappear. If he can become more consistent they do have a shot.
