Considering that BYU is pure evil. I think this is worth revisiting.

The girl she elbowed in the back (#7) is the same girl that was involved in the red card incident with our goalie.
Is it wrong that that video turns me on a little?

A lot of cute girls on BYU. The tragedy of mormanism, though, the repression does make some of them really fun.

We need this Lambert on our football team. I like her warrior spirit. Any chance we can talk her into transferring? I won't be the one to ask because she might get rough with me. OK, I'll ask.

I was passing through Albuquerque last summer and was talking to a waitress who was a local college girl who used to play soccer and she said that the rough style of play was just the way that they played soccer in New Mexico. She didn't see anything too bad about Lambert's play.

Dirty play is dirty play.
Yeah, playing rough against BYU is always a good thing, but she crossed the line and I'd rather see BYU lose fair and square than having them be able to complain about other teams, "Cheating."
A little pushing and shoving and leg tackling is fine - but punching an opponent or snapping another player's head to the ground by her hair isn't cool.

Is it wrong that that video turns me on a little? I think cat fights are sexy, too. I'll leave it to any shrink out there to tell us whether we're perverts.

Lambert should be voted all-league just for this one game!!

What's disgusting is the tone of this discussion! I dislike BYU as much as any Aztec fan, but I could not be more disappointed with the glee expressed by some people in this thread about one of the dirtiest plays I have ever seen in any sport. Elizabeth Lambert should be banned from the sport - period! Rough play is one thing. To intentionally pull an opponent to the ground by her hair is beyond the pale. The BYU player could have been seriously injured for life by that action. Just because it was against BYU, that makes it okay??? If this had happened to an Aztec, you would all be screeming for Lambert's head. It's okay to dislike BYU in any sport, but the response by some of you on this thread is almost as egregious as the play itself.

The BYU gal was trying to pull Lamberts shorts down. Lambert should have snatched that BYU gal bald headed along with two of her BYU team mates.

I agree with B5Erik and aztec75....let's not go overboard. Many on this board have developed a "mob mentality" as it relates to BYU.

She grabbed hold of her shorts, but didn't pull in any direction. Regardless, the response is still excessive and completely unwarranted. Will everyone enamored with Elizabeth Lambert's play against BYU be so supportive of her style whenever the Aztecs and Lobos play? A thug is a thug, and she has no place anywhere near a soccer field!

I realize sports is rough. I understand how players can lose their temper and in a fit of anger do something stupid. But this girl is just a dirty player. It seems every chance she gets she takes a cheap shot at an opposing player. Kicking a ball in the girls face, punching another girl in the face, .................. How many other things has this girl done that wasn't caught on film? And so many on here think that is perfectly acceptable behavior. I hope no SDSU player in any sport ever plays like that. If so, I would hope the coach kicks him/her off the team immediately. Or maybe I'm just too old, and this new age of sports has passed me by.

I don't consider myself a thug, and if a cute gal were to grab my genitals, in a co-ed soccer game, I would probably forgive her, .... BUT ... if some guy did, give me the red card now! Those of you who would not retaliate to sexual groping on the playing field are better players than me. There are certain lines that athletes do not cross and the BYU player crossed that line.
Yes, the New Mexico player should have been red carded for the violent act, but to give the BYU player a free pass is beyond believable.
