1. Brandon McCoy has left Morse HS and will enroll at Cathedral Catholic 2. Jaylen Hands was denied eligibilty by CIF-San Diego in his transfer attempt from Mater Dei Catholic to Foothills Christian. Hands has appealed the decision hs.utpreps.com/news_article/show/542558 |

Little doubt both guys are heading to Private schools to improve their national ratings , move up the charts . Trying to get the best offers they can .

Or they just like the coaches more, or they want to improve their chances of getting to and/or winning sectionals, etc. Not everything is about recruiting rankings. |

Seems weird that Jaylen would get denied at Foothills but get the green light at Balboa Prep. CIF is such a pain. That said, would be fun to watch Balboa's games if Hands is allowed to play. Will be a great duo with those two kids.

No, little doubt both players are heading to private schools to play better competition and get better training. Both are already very highly ranked. |

Hands was already at a private school. Seriously, "Mater Dei Catholic" would only sound like a public school if it were located in Vatican City.

did not think Balboa Prep was under CIF ? Think it will be important for the Aztecs to have a very successful year to continue to show all the local prospects we are a MBB Program on the rise .

in the latest Rivals Ayton drops to #4 , McCoy up to #9 , Hands at #23
2016 is the year of the guards , 2017 a lot of very good talent at PF/C 5 of the top 6 and 11 of the top 20.
As we have seen with some of the latest signing many recruits go for playing with guys and team they feel comfortable with .
