Excellent work Aztec baseball!
When the Aztecs scored in the bottom of the eighth and the announcer said "and now we're tied", that was hilarious.

Impressive! Congrats to coach M. An amazing team when backs are against the wall. If only Martinez can pipe in sublimanal messages overnight at regional convincing the players they are already 0-1 before the tourney starts!
What is that now- 28 conference titles in 3 years? THAT is an impressive athletic dept!

Hobby horse mode now activated. NO, NO , NO , NO. NO, NO, NO, NO! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Not "tecs," for god's sake! We are the AZTECS. No more of this pathology of shortening the nickname of one's favorite college team. If this were the Technocrats of the Technologyville Institute of Technology, then, yeah, I guess "tecs" would be okay. Anyone familiar with Aztec society knows that technology was NOT their most outstanding feature. They were most notable for cutting out the hearts of helpless human beings. Go Aztecs! And I do mean Aztecs. AzWm PS: Just in case you were inclined to ask, "What the hell does this guy know about the real Aztecs?" let me assure you I know a fair amount. First of all, I taught Spanish for over three decades and in that capacity it was valuable to have a sound knowledge of Mexico's history and heritage. I have traveled in Mexico a number of times, and have read a good deal about the history of Mexico, including the Aztecs. What we called the Aztecs was one of the three members of the Nahuatl speaking alliance that inhabited the area that is now Mexico's Federal District (i.e., Mexico City). Theirs was a complex society that, to be fair, was not devoid of technology (is it even possible for any society to be devoid of technology?). Still, most notable was their setting a benchmark of blood-thirsty cruelty that no group until ISIS has tried to match, much less exceed. AzWm

And to get back on topic, I'll add my congratulations to Aztec baseball for a great season!
Does this mean that the program can be expected to compete strongly for the MWC championship most years? Too bad Tony was not here to see this.

Pretty amazing way to win the tourney! Multiple times no less! Congrats to the SDSU Mens Baseball team! Good Luck to them in the NCAA's! When do we find out where we go and whom we play?

CSUF, UCLA, and UCSB are hosting regionals. Would be nice if SDSU ends up in one of those.

Congrats Aztecs! Didn't they come back from the losers bracket? That's some fine tournament baseball! Yes we did...again. The commentators mentioned that we are 12-0 in elimination games over the last 3 MW tourneys. As a fellow poster mentioned to me... Last 3 years: 3 Bowls, 3 Dances, 3 Regionals. Can any other college say they have done that? Be careful... If you keep talking like that you will get blasted that Hirky & Sterky are leading SDSU into athletics mediocrity.
