No, Cal has no business being in the top 25 with what they have coming back. They return 1 good offensive player off a dreadful offense and not a great defense. They look like a bubble team as is. Disagree. They're backcourt is very potent. Mathews, Wallace & Bird are all extremely talented and were really hurt by injuries last year. Wallace is a likely NBA player, or fringe player. Singer will be a more than capable back-up. What they're really missing is 1 more inside player, unless they plan on playing Rabb at the 4. Although raw, Okoroh could also develop into a pretty good post player and has great size (7'1).
They've also got Stephen Domingo eligible this year. Cal has plenty of talent.

They've also got Stephen Domingo eligible this year. Cal has plenty of talent. Interesting. Curious if RS year will change him around. Georgetown boards didn't think too highly of his abilities ("not ready for college"). But has raw talent..
Do they have anyone who can play the #4 effectively (Rabb w/ Okoroh at 5??)? Or 4 guards + Rabb?
They bring a ton of talent & experience to the guard position, and have a super (NBA) talent in Rabb inside. As you note, Domingo & a couple other decent recruits as well. Between Wallace & Rabb they have 2 potential NBA players. That should be enough, but if they can land one more inside player...or find something to effectively play alongside Rabb..
Will be a fun game if they match us up in Vegas.
I can picture the Vegas T-day buffet already..

He graduated high school early and entered Georgetown at 17. Not surprising to hear 'not ready for college' comments. Cal has a solid squad. If they land Brown they could do some real damage next March.

Again, it seems to me what they could really use is a #4...
Thinking ahead, if they go with Rabb at the #4 it'll be an interesting match-up with us & Cal. In theory:
- Hemsley vs. 6'3 Mathews (although Wallace is their real Point) - Kell/WS vs. 6'5 Wallace - WS/Pope vs. 6'6 Bird (who I think will come into his own this year) - Zylan/Pope vs. 6'10 Rabb - Sky/Chol vs. 7'1 Okoroh
Bench: - Shrigs, etc. vs. Singer/Chauca/Domingo
Pope v. Rabb, if they play Rabb more at the 4, would be a terrific match-up to watch.
