If we really want to be E8 or better , we are going to need to be able to sign top 50 or top 25 players , does not matter where they come from . Getting Kell , Shrigley , Chol (on the bounce back) is not good enough to get us there . It is not good enough to land Locals when they are maybe a top 100 or 150 . Leaf for 2016 is going to Arizona. If the goal is to play at the higher level then just landing decent locals , will not cut it . Need to be able to sign guys from all ovder the country to get there , the cream of the crop locals do not stay here . The Aztec team needs to do better in MM and play at an up tempo level if you want to recruit guys that want to score .

Rivals #36 in the class of 2017 has had a solid spring in AAU. He moves extremely well, has good hands and shows promise as a scorer. He will block shots and is a good rebounder with untapped potential. Top schools like: Arizona, Kansas, California, San Diego State and Michigan State are some of the schools McCoy says offered.
McCoy is starting to consider visits and getting a lot of attention.

The California Supreme squad did not advance out of pool play, but junior Brandon McCoy made his presence felt with A Double, Double performance at the Peach Jam.
McCoy already holds offers from schools such as Arizona, Oregon, Kansas and the Aztecs and in fact all four of those programs had coaches on the sidelines including HC Sean Miller, Dana Altman and Steve Fisher.
It looks like Fish is doing his best to have him stay home.

Brandon McCoy lead the So Cal team tonight in a 135-114 Sunday. The game was the Prep2Prep California Classic all-star game for rising juniors played before 1,500 at Las Positas College in Northern Cal. "SoCal put seven players in double figures for the game, led by Brandon McCoy of Morse-San Diego with 20 points (he also had 17 rebounds). McCoy had five dunks in the contest and a few near misses on slam attempts. Ethan Thompson (Bishop Montgomery) had 18 points for SoCal, Jalen Harris (Windward) joined Martin with 17, LiAngelo Ball (Chino Hills) tossed in 15, Cody Riley (Sierra Canyon) had 14 and Earnie Sears (Bishop Alemany) contributed 11. Ryse Williams (Redondo Union) added nine points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals for the victors." Check out this story on McCoy: www.prep2prep.com/feature.aspx?ArticleID=5538

Cal's no different than anyone else. They'll have guys on their roster (Rooks, Okorah as seniors his FR year), and they'll need to replace others. Rabb could be gone after 1 year, so they could be replacing him next year.
Believe they're still trying to land one more in the '16 class as well include Johnson & even Cage.
Long ways off.

Early word is Cal, AZ, and MSU are his leaders. But I guess things things can change.

as we and a lot of other schools have seen . A lot of things happen and will in the next 13 or so months before he can sign a NLI . Playing his junior year of HS ball . Fisher lives with in 5 miles of his HS so could visit numerous times . There are numerous high quality PF/C in the 2017 class . Do think how the Aztecs do this year , development of Skylar and Angelo at the 5 could prove important in his recruitment , also Nolan , even though he is red shirting , could provide valuable assistance .

Zona has top talent visiting today's Red and Blue game: Markkanen, Brandon McCoy, Troy Brown, Jarred Vanderbilt, KJ Hymes, and Marvin Bagley. The 6'10 5-star Lauri Markkanen committed earlier. He is projected to be one and done and he is from Finland.
