length and athleticism often are genetic traits that passed down and that's what the aztecs recruit so it makes sense that we'll be going after a lot of ex nba players kids.
if you look at the nba now, it's packed with the kids of players of the 80s and 90s. check out that warrior backcourt.
it shouldn't be the only thing the aztecs recruit (see shooting woes), but when you have 2 guys of equal skills and drive the physicality will be pretty apparent and it's always going to present.

the question is , is he locked into staying in Utah or the PAC , or even considering the Aztecs for 2016 ?

Bailey is going to stay in Utah, either BYU or the PAC. So why di he pay his own way for an unofficial visit?

6'8 SF from Utah, other offers from So Utah, BYU, Utah, Tulsa and ASU. 4-star, kid no nationally rated yet. Rivals story below, both Brendon Bailey and Lindsey Drew have opened their recruitment. Bailey is the son of Thural Bailey, Drew is the son of Larry Drew and brother of Larry Drew II leading the D Leauge in Assists. footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=17504276'8" transfer from Utah? Parent with pro hoops experience? Seems to work out well for us.

I did not read his twitter feed, thanks for clarifying. Hope he had a great visit & is swayed our way, he would fit nicely on our roster. Out of curiosity, is he Mormon?

Raised on the east coast, played ball in Utah married a white lady who was playing basketball for Utah Valley St when they met and then he joined the LDS church. He was 28 and she was 19. He has been in broadcasting and has commentated for the Jazz and Univ of Utah. So Brendan was raised Mormon in Utah.

Rivals recap of Adidas Gauntlet "...Brendan Bailey struggled with his shot going just 5-of-15 from the field for Dream Vision. But, he found other ways to make things happen and still finished with 14 points and seven rebounds ... was watched by two assistants from new coach Bobby Hurley's staff. Others who watched him included included Utah, San Diego State, Colorado and Gonzaga..."

With Arizona in the picture to go with the LDS schools it seems like our odds with this kid are very, very low.

Brendan Bailey's stock is rising as he is playing for Dream Vision in Adidas tourneys this summer. Bailey currently holds offers to SDSU, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, UConn, Gonzaga and Utah. Because of the coaching change, there's still a chance that Bailey ends up at Arizona State. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aHMvswpwdwApr 18, 2015 - Uploaded by DreamVision Video Dream Vision small forward Brendan Bailey (6-feet, 9-inches) averaged nearly a double-double ... www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLzHaSgNahgMay 7, 2015 - Uploaded by DreamVision Video Brendan Bailey — Dream Vision 17U Shooting Guard — Highlights from the # adidasUprising ...
