Beginning to wonder if we will get any transfers. Maybe we don't need any ?

I think we fill at least 1 of the 2 remaining scholarships this year, if not both.

understand and agree that the coaches are hoping to hear that Nolan Narain still has SDSU on his list as he does the AAU circuit and trays to re classify . so for now that takes up 1 scholarship in hoping .
So 1 still open , Interesting that not one of the top 20 transfers even has us listed ,( other then maybe M.Tollefsen ),as their schools considered . Or did SDSU say not interested . we want our guys to develop and adding could deter that for any or all of the guys on the current 2015-16 roster .
also thee is no need to fill the l2 th or 13 scholarship just to fill it . Want quality not quantity . Most important is to reload for 2016 .

Want quality not quantity . Most important is to reload for 2016 . True, you don't want to fill just to fill, but you also don't want a situation where you need a completely unbalanced class either. Filling 5-6 in one class doesn't always work either.
Plus, you want your scout team to have talent. Leaving 1 open is fine, but don't see us leaving 2 open. I think we get SOMEONE, either a transfer (there are a TON out there not just the "top 20") or a reclassified FR.
I think we end up with a FR transfer; someone who'll have a year to develop & come in as a SO when the 2016 class comes in, and add to our 2015 2-man class. Or a SO transfer. Don't think we aim for a SR-transfer, unless it's a quality perimeter player and not sure there are as many of those available.
NN is still priority #1 IMO.

Definitely going to need to reload for 2016 . So Nolan Narain is the key , as of today , So the staff needs to hold a scholarship open for him until he decides what he is going to do be it 2015 or 2016 . The need is Centers and Forwards . 3 starters( Spencer/5 , Shepard and Pope /4&3 and 1 reserve ( Center/Chol ) . Will most likely be gone . So it all depends on who the Aztecs think they can SIGN for 2016 to replace them . We only have Zylan / 4 and D.Allen /3 . No clue about BJ, if he has potential to be a starter and at what position- needs to add some muscle to his frame . So as of today there could be plenty of PT at the 5,4 and 3 . What are the chances of signing Narain , Cage, Koen or a transfer that could start in 2016 ? Or do we leave it wide open so recruits feel they could come in and get the PT .
Sounds as though now the coaches want to see in 2015 what they are going to get in development, from Zylan , Kell, Allen , JH, Shrigley , DW,BJ and as they head into 2016 . So what or who may the coaches add , be it for 2016 or 2015 as a regular transfer or possibly grad transfer. A lot of moving parts. But guess the key is 2016 HS recruits .

At this point I think SDSU is more likely to get a D1 transfer who has to sit out next season - which is actually OK. With both Pope and Shepard coming back, there really isn't a lot of minutes leftover. Hemsley, Z and Pope will likely consume most of what JJ, Q and Polee (when he was active) contributed last season. I expect Spencer, Chol, Shrigley, Dakari, Kell, DWill and Shepard to have similar minutes to what they had this past season.

From the Indy Courier - I am not sure he is the one for us. The up side good shooter, down side weak rebounder and defense needs work. "Max Hoetzel's Indiana courtship was a quick one. After the Hoosiers picked up on him during their recruitment of 2014 center Goodluck Okonoboh, Hoetzel was offered on Oct. 23, 2013. He visited and committed within five days. A promising spot-up 3-point shooter with the kind of body that could allow him to grow into a useful rebounder, Hoetzel's range is his greatest immediate strength. On a team retooled with a bunch of shooters, the freshman from California (by way of a New England prep school) should fit right in offensively. The questions about Hoetzel will revolve around the rest of his skills, and whether he can impact games otherwise. A look at the long, lean freshman in Canada suggested he's got some toughness and can eventually become a consistent rebounder, but his defense needs work."

Larrier (wing-2 or 3) could be very intriguing if there was mutual interest. He would look to be a terrific fit and take the "slot" emptied by Keith Smith's backing off his commitment. Hoetzel (stretch-4) could also be a nice pickup, a PF who can shoot would be a nice addition. ▶ Larrier Mix Tape - would love to pick this transfer up. Larrier Plays like Shep with a jumper and goes strong to the rim. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBeIGq7U6jsHere is 2014 Ballislife All American and VCU bound Terry Larrier's official Ballislife mixtape ...

It will put some pressure on Hemsley to come in and produce immediately. Here is the construction camera feed for the JAM Center. Lath is going up. Should start the exterior plaster sometime next week from the look of it: www.goaztecs.com/genrel/JAMCenter.html
