So I am thinking of hitting up the MWC Tourney this year. Whats the skinny for getting tickets to the Final game when SDSU gets there? Is it a case of picking up tickets from losing fanbases or ?

Garbage competition? You do realize that New Mexico has won the tournament the last what...2-3 years? I for one am going this year. Our league is pretty competitive and even across the board. By tourney time UNLV will look much improved, CSU will be rolling, Who knows what Boise will scrap together and Fresno wil be interesting to see. SDSU has so many moving and changing parts right now they will not be the same team by then. Nobody will. And with the way everyones OOC season has gone, this years conference tourney will be more important than ever for the selection committee. New Mexico won the MWC tournament the last couple years . . . then got rolled in the real tournament. MWC tourney is pointless. Anyone that thinks the MWCT is "pointless" has obviously never been. Perhaps if you wrote "...as an indicator of how far UNM will go in the NCAAs..." I'd agree with you.

Best weekend of the year, without question.
If you've never been to a MW tourney at T&M and are thinking about going, book your travel 5 minutes ago.
It's been even more fun around town since the P12 came in.

When we're cutting down nets, it's only gravy to an awesome weekend of reminding NM fans their team has never made the Sweet 16!

Last year was the first year I didn't get a pass (well, back before 2000, passes weren't necessary). It was fine for the Quarters and we watched the Semi's from Mandalay Bay, but were stuck in the nosebleeds with NM fans for the Finals and it was a miserable experience (not that one of my (SDSU) friends wasn't part of the problem), but not knowing what my deal was for this year, I had some friends throw in a pass for me with them, so at least I'll be celebrating, or commiserating, with fellow Aztecs this year.
