Don't misunderstand the intent of this thread. I keep an open mind about energy production. If renewables can replace fossil fuels, great! It's just that the issue is very complicated, as you can see in this piece.

Renewables cannot replace fossil fuels. They are being pushed because they don't work. Radical environmentalists only like energy that doesn't work because their aim is to make us poor.

We should get all the gas and oil out of the ground we can because they may be worth little in 20 years. The fossil fuel free society can be realized with fusion and 4th gen nuclear along with new battery tech. When it happens we will see changes that surprise many.

The biggest pollution problem the US has ever seen went away over a 10 year period when the problem was seen as unsolvable at the beginning of that period. It was solved via new tech. The current "perceived" problem will go the same way.
