Looking at Scout it seems that out of 11 total recruits 6 of them are listed as WR. What is this all about?? No QB, we need at least one every year. How about defensive and offensive linemen?? or LB?? Or a punter, ours really is bad this year. Maybe some of these WR are going to be switched to DB?? If not it looks like the shotgun approach. You recruit a lot of them and hope one or two turn out good. I remember way, way back before the limits on numbers that we have today. Colorado brought in 17, yes 17 high school QB in the hope that one or two were good.

Suggest you stick to Rivals or 247 as that Scout site is ludicrously inaccurate.
Jeff Clay a WR? Uh, he was our first recruit and has never been considered anything but a LB. Juwan Washington a WR? At 5-6 or 5-7? Lol. Assuming we're lucky enough to keep him from a B12 school before LOI day, he'll be a RB and punt returner. And assuming Addison Morrow can become academically qualified, look for him to play DB.
Speaking of looking for, look for the mods to move this thread to the recruiting forum.
Edit: As to QB, I share your concern. However, Stephen assures there's a dual threat kid they like and hope to get to commit.

The year Colorado supposedly brough in 17 qbs, may have been a year where they didn't lose much guys in other positios, so their wasn't much of a need to add to that depth. Oh and Scout has gone down the drain in recent years. Stick to the more reliable sites. According to rivals, we have 13 committs and only 4 are Wr's.

He doesn't recruit kickers, either.
Look, the fact of the matter is, people don't like Rocky Long. His is not likable. He has ZERO charisma. No charm. And he is NOT a leader of men. He is an assistant coach. A technocrat. An apparatchik. He is NOT a head coach. Thus, things will never get better with Rocky at the helm.

He is currently in his transfer year right now. BTW we are quite a ways away from LOI day. Many more commits to come.

Michael: Shut up. Steve: Did he come back? Pretty Young Girl: Hi, Elliot. Greg: Well, did he? Elliot: Yeah, he came back, but he's not a goblin. He's a spaceman. Steve: Ooh, as in extra-terrestrial! Tyler: Where is he from, Uranus? Get it? Your anus? Greg: He doesn't get it, Ty. Tyler: Get it, your anus? Greg: He doesn't get it. Elliot: You're so immature! Greg: And you're such a cintus suprimus! Elliot: Zero charisma! Greg: Cintus suprimus! Elliot: Zero charisma! Greg: Cintus suprimus! Elliot: Shut up, Greg! Greg: Cintus suprimus! Elliot: [yells as he rides off on his bike] Zero charisma!

Compare SJSU recruiting vs SDSU. There's some funny Monet be thrown around in the Silicon Valley. 24 recruits, 18 3-star plus. What are they promising an internship at Google or Apple, a $1,000 hand shake and shares in Facebook?

What are they promising an internship at Google or Apple, a $1,000 hand shake and shares in Facebook? Example: rivals.yahoo.com/sandiegostate/football/recruiting/player-DeShawn-Fortune-164880;_ylt=Aib0PbI5xqsHqi4jzj.epMcXtpB4A 5.6 rated recruit who wasn't offered by anybody else except Weber State? Can you say very unlikely to qualify? Plus, SJSU is going to lose a few of its best recruits to decommitment. Nevertheless, I agree with you that something about SJSU's recruiting doesn't pass the smell test. Their stadium is unimpressive to visit and that's particularly true on game day as the Spartans once again have the worst attendance in the Molehill West. And Ron Caragher is about as exciting a personality as Ben Stein. So the only explanation can be that sterling 3-6 record that SJSU has.

ok Rivals shows 5 WR's and we have at least 10 on the current roster ( yes some are walk ons),with Ruffin the one who is graduating. But zero OL . How many scholarships do we have for 2015 . Is the plan to bring in OL through JC's ? QB's we have at least 3 on scholarship ,and a mystery recruit TBNL. Key thing here is quality and Which coach takes responsibility for recruiting the QB , seeing him perform and then developing them ? Is it HC , OC , QB coach or every one just throw their hands up and say it wasn't me ?But have 12 WR's on the roster ? We are not going to get quality QB's here until we are considered a QB dominated offense and get an OL that can block for him .

Pitts,Clark,Hazely are seniors we only got two wr's last year, and most of these guys can play db as well. There are acouple of g juniors that will graduate or have that are QB's interested in SDSU. neither one can run a pro but both have some experince and are decent at the spread, ON can run like hell. I do not thion thye have addressed anything with their coaches . I think this possible move to the spread is coming from their feeling about Chapman and Nick being ready next year. If they integrate some spread into the offense Rodriguez is used to it. If one of these other guys comes in then that gives us another quarterback that has.experience.this is anything but a done deal but I wouldn't be surprised if one more QB is added, but only if the can play now. They are looking at two quarterbacks for 2016. There is also a transfer we would have to redshirt next year and would have three years left it will be Toledo that makes the decision, Brian recruits whoever Toledo decides is on the board. of course some of this is just hearsay from people I know but I have heard it from a couple people so it makes me think there's something to it. Maybe it's terror of having another quarterback catastrophe that makes me so eager to accept the rumors.

Believe for 2015 Clark , Pitts and Hazely will be seniors . Judge and Mills will be juniors . Plus sophomores: Holder , Chase F .Clewes (Sp) M.Young , J.Hill... and the new WR recruits for 2015 . If they also play another position, then great . Just seems that unless we do go to a QB that is going to throw the ball - in what ever style that is decided upon, we have a lot of WR's. Would like a QB that can throw the ball and is the focal point of the offense ! but you also need OL that can pass block - either HS or JC . Would also appreciate it if the staff has a set plan for recruiting and development of the QB's . If Toledo can not go out and recruit the QB's,then he wants to hand off that responsibility to Sipe- QB coach ? Sure seems as though we could continue with the current problems of QB recruitment and development !! How many scholarships do we have for 2015 . Sure seems as though it helps having some open for transfers .

Gotta think that the staff is planning on going the JC route for O-linemen next year.

Gotta think that the staff is planning on going the JC route for O-linemen next year. Maybe, as Slater was a real find this year. But we only lose Terry Poole off the OL. Need that special athlete at LT for sure. Who is that? Alex Anderson? Kwayde Miller?
