I am flying in from Bay Area for this game, with my brother-in-law who has never attended an SDSU mbb game. I've been touting the great student section, home court, etc. so I hope all seats are accounted for and that it will be a raucous event.

Talk all you want about anything you want for all I care. Personally, in November, I'm still invested in football. Why not both? That week I'll be at... SDSU BB vs Utah Nov. 18th SDSU BB vs CSU Bakersfield Nov. 20th SDSU FB vs Air Force Nov. 21st Although I do admit I wish football & basketball season didn't overlap. Go Aztecs! Glad you're fired up for Nov. basketball against Bakersfield. I'm not. See you (figuratively) at the Air Force game.

The student section "The Show" is never the problem getting hyped...it's the other 10,000 people siting on their hands and hogging seats for their purses. When everyone is in their seats and participating like the UNM champ game...we have at least a 10pt home field advantage.

This must be that ESPN 24 hours of basketball crap? Only reason I could see a 1pm Tuesday start. Or is the game in Maui? hmmmm complaining about National ESPN exposure at 3pm eastern time - between only a handful of schools selected and a home audience to boot - to showcase our great fans & perhaps a few screen shots of the sunset in la jolla.
YEAH WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THIS...
You can't buy this sort PR!
The game back east will be on from 4PM to 6PM. We will get a lot of eyes.

I'm usually witness to another WSU losing football season while simultaneously watching the Cougars tip-off another 10th place finish in the Pac-12. Though, like the rest of America, I don't really care. But in all seriousness, I won't be into basketball until January. Only a few games will grab my attention prior. Not sure Utah on a 1pm November Tuesday is one of them.

This game is one of the best OOC games the Aztecs will play this season and easily the best home OOC game and probably the best home game of the year. Although UNLV and New Mexico will be have more emotional investment.

Well, its actually a 4pm tip in the east, and I'm not sure how much it'll move the needle back east. But yes, its potentially great exposure.

FWIW...
I'm pretty sure I recall even a Fish, when the game time was announced, saying he understood there'd be less than a full house for this one. People have lives that involve work they can't get out of that pay for things like SDSU Hoops season tix.
That said, I like the spirit of the OP's suggestion.

Padres average large crowds for their weekday afternoon games. They are often bigger than the other weekday games. No reason the Aztecs can't pull in 12K. But people with tickets that can't go have to make sure their tickets go to a good home.

As mentioned the Best home game of the OOC season . Important for fellow season ticket holders to see if they can arrange to attend or find Aztec fans that they may want to let use their tickets . Early Holiday gift or donate to the military or Vets , YMCA or give back to SDSU . But do it now the game is less then 20 days away . Could also allow more students or teachers in at 1:05 .

Give them to people you know will use them. We don't want military or YMCA sitting on unused tickets.

Good idea, OP. That's the proactive nature I like. I'll catch it on DVR. Media blackout time.

Most important is get the word out to fellow season ticket holders to use them , give them to Aztec fans who can attend or AD office know so more tickets can be sold at 1:30 to those at the arena . Just fill the arena . Let people in who buy tickets for the AFA FB game while they are there .

Please... pretty please... with sugar on top... if you aren't going to attend a game please do one of four things.
1. Give it or sell it to someone you know. 2. List it for sale at the GoAztecs.com ticket exchange or on Stubhub (Craigslist if you like to live on the edge) 3. List it here on the ticket board's ticket exchange 4. Message me, I've got friends bugging me for tickets for every freaking game.
It's OK if you don't think "real" basketball happens before Christmas. But please... pretty please... help us fill Viejas with the thousands of people who DO WANT to attend those games but cannot find tickets.
