Elvis Lives Oswalt didn't act alone Apollo didn't really land on the moon Apollo also lost that first fight to Rocky Balboa in a decision. It was rigged.

SDSU isn't exactly a household name and unfortunately the players are pigeon holed as being from a lesser conference, smaller school, inferior competition etc. It's all hogwash like the sh%t Corso spewed about Marshall Faulk. Marshall never got the Heisman, but he had the last laugh in the NFL and you know where Corso's opinion got shoved! I dunno. You mean like that Lobo who played LB for dabears? The QB of the Steeler's?, the QB of the Cowboys? Addison Reed? Or my favorite, as mentioned before, the QB who took State to the '98 LV Bowl, lost his job the next year, approached DC to play defense and ended up playing 9 seasons in the NFL? The sports landscape is littered with players from "lessor schools" that had decent careers in the pros. I do recall, at one time long ago, when State was defining ineptitude in the MW, the program supposedly had more players in the NFL than any other team in the conference. I do believe, you're good enough, you'll get a paycheck.

You could even say that Jerry Rice is/was the greatest football player of all time too!

Kawhi was MVP of the Finals and Kevin Durant called him just the product of a "system" after Kawhi held Westbrook to 8-23 shooting 1-6 from 3 7 turnovers and had the greatest steal on Westbrook in the playoffs in NBA history to win the deciding Game 6. Durant also had 7 turnovers many when defended by Kawhi When is the last time a Finals MVP was dissed like that? Is that not disrespect of a Non Power 5 athlete? KD is a flopping whiny rail. F him. Those are just feelings of being butthurt.

Will Demps, a former SDSU walk-on eventually earned his ride and starting job here, then went to the League as an UDA and made the Ravens. By the end of his rookie year, he was a starter. I say it's the shrimp chips Koreans love. (he's half Korean like I am) :-)

The tone of this topic is a little odd.
All of the sports mentioned are competitive and executives and coaches can't afford agendas against any institutions for whatever reason.
The reason why Malcolm Thomas isn't a star in the NBA is because he doesn't have star talent, but ihe still can be an effective role player with the 76'ers. The reason why Ronnie Hillman had limited playing time up until the last few games is the Broncos have great RBs ahead of him. Ditto Escobar.

Oswalt should have read Oswald, as in Lee Harvey

As good as Ronnie is... and he has NFL talent... he wouldn't be putting up these numbers if he wasn't playing with Peyton, Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Wes Welker and Emmanuel Sanders.
I believe KD was out of line with his tweet about Kawhi... but his tweet would be accurate to say about Denver RBs... they are all a product of the system.
Defenses can't load the box against the Denver running game, Peyton would absolutely destroy them.
Our Aztecs have not been disrespected.

We all knew Ronnie Hillman had the talent to play in the NFL( Hillman at Missouri) yet the Broncos never gave him a real chance. He had 86 yards rushing as a rookie against New Orleans Now he will be a free agent soon and he of course does not trust the organization His fumbles were so overhyped He had 2 fumbles lost in two years but he was considered to have a fumbling problem ..... ? One was a fumble at the goal line at Indy - A game if you watched Manning made alot of mistakes which is what really cost the Broncos the game yet all the media jumped on Hillman's fumble and have hyped it since In fact you can still find articles even this week in denver where they don't trust him none of the bronco Rb's since Hillman has been there had even close to the speed or pass catching ability of him Look at Gavin Escobar We all knew Escobar was going to be good but I guess the Cowboys don't really care and would rather he just sit and waste his career Against the Giants he had 3 targets 3 catches and 2 Touchdowns in the LAST GAME for the Cowboys Talk about efficient . Escobar is Money BUT what happens the very next game ? Escobar NO TARGETS NO CATCHES Huh? Malcolm Thomas Teams have played with him. Never gave him a chance He was the best player in the NBDL He shot 43% from 3( when I would go to practice before Aztec games started when he and carwell were ineligible transfers I saw him hit from deep so I am not surprised at all) He blocked 2.3 shots per game and rebounded 11 a game yet everywhere people said oh he's a tweener . He is too short. Now finally Philadelphia gives him a chance. He played great in the summer league like last years summer league He is not inconsistent They did the same thing to Kawhi Leonard also but the Spurs gave him a chance right away. Just tired of the disrespect. I could go on. Brice Butler. Josh Davis. Even Kawhi . Kawhi dominates does not smack talk wins the MVP and what does Kevin Durant do? He disrespects him. No offense, but when Hillman hit the NFL he put the ball on the ground A LOT. Its hard to get guys to the NFL, we have had more than our share. When they're good they get the respect. Plus, in my opinion, just the fact of getting there means they get respect, it's so hard to get to the league.

The fact of the matter is we suffer from being in the Mountain West and on the West coast with an unfriendly TV schedule. Our games are rarely on big boy ESPN or ESPN2 and usually when we are we are getting blow out by the elite schools. Basketball is our only chance for respect, but all things considered I think we get a fair shake.
