I still do not want to pay for someone else's indiscretions. It has nothing to do with health. It has to do with moral choice. Of course, liberals, ugly hags and degenerate men and women think otherwise.

Right, right. Being pregnant has nothing to do with health. No. Being pregnant is always about good health. Making the choice to have sex is not. Whether the pregnancy.is wanted or not is a their choice through birth control. That is up to the individuals and their consciences. That is not my responsibility and I don't want to pay for it.

We seem to lose sight of what is really going on here. Nobody has had access to any kind of birth control they want to use denied or restricted. It is just that the Supreme Court has deemed it right that Hobby Lobby (It will spread) can choose what they are willing to pay for in their employees health plan. Hobby Lobby still pays for most kinds of preventive measures, just that they object on moral grounds "after the fact" measures that they deem like abortion.

My concern, as stated earlier, is not that Hobby Lobby won't be paying for birth control because it will pay for other forms of birth control but the 'slippery slope' that has been created by this decision. Now a company has a legitimate argument to withhold something from its employees on 'moral' or 'religious' grounds. Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in blood transfusions, they no longer have to cover them. Christian Scientists don't believe in medical care but that prayer will heal all, so they can opt out of ALL medical insurance plans including Medicare.
The argument can get weirder and weirder if you want. Not employing married women because they should be home with the kids. Paying married men more than single men or women because they support a family. Firing a single woman because she became pregnant (actually happened in a private church school). On and on and on.
I'm not saying that all of this could come to pass but the door is now open to lawsuits using this reasoning.

You cannot enquire into marital status as part of the hiring process and that is not in the purview of this ruling. This is solely about the selection of benefits offered employees. I think it is a reach to jump to a conclusion about Christian Scientists. If that was a part of their benefit package, it probably wouldn't attract many employees unless they paid a good enough salary that permitted you to buy your own health plan and that combination was competitive with other businesses. Frankly, in this abstract hypothetical, I would exercise my right and not work for them nor patronize their business. Pretty simple but you are cracking me up with your hysteria. Quite ironic based upon your psot above, no? Sent from my SM-G900V using proboards

Who's hysterical? lol Sent from my SM-G900V using proboards Oh, and if you wish to claim hysteria as a way around dealing with the Christian right's hypocrisy, that is fine. Personally, I am no such thing since I am still free to drive a woman to Planned Parenthood and kill all the babies I please, on your tax dollar. Just currently bored and like to point out the fault in SCOTUS' ways, hoping that Scalia or Alito die in the next year.* *Actually, John Roberts would be great too.
