Surprised that if he was still interested in SDSU ,he did not want to come here with his HS team mate .
Also believe I saw J. Moore 2016 guard from Mission Bay at the game last night , maybe in section D or E ?

I saw Brandon Cyrus at the Torrey Pines vs. Army-Navy CIF semifinal this week. I heard that he's thinking about coming back west (to Torrey) for school next year.

La Lumiere, IN coaching staff tells Hoops Hype Canada FAB 40 no.8 ranked 2016 6'5" Brandon Cyrus will be lone Canadian returning to La Porte, IN this fall. Nolan Narain has is not coming back to HS, does that mean that he is coming to the Mesa?

Pretty quiet all summer, no short list, no visits yet...but headed back to La Lumiere HS recently.

will be interested to see what visits he sets up . With Narain and Humphries both going to college in 2015 . Brandon could really get an opportunity to shine during HS play this year and see his value increase for college teams.

Brandon could really get an opportunity to shine during HS play this year and see his value increase for college teams. LaLu is rated #10 by HS Hoops for 2015-2016, here's their recap below. They have many new kids coming into the program that will compete against Cyrus. BTW Tyger Campbell is a player! La Lumiere (IN) 2014-2015 Record: 24-3 La Lumiere (IN) is coming off a season in which they missed the Dick’s Nationals tournament for the first time since 2011. They will rely heavily on transfers to carry the load this year in hopes of a trip back to New York for Dick’s Nationals. Key newcomers to this year’s squad includes #18 2017 6′ 7″ SF Brian Bowen, 2016 6′ 10″ C James Banks, top 2019 prospect 5′ 11″ PG Tyger Campbell, and 2017 6′ 8″ PF Joey St. Pierre. Key returners from last years La Lumiere team are 2016 6′ 4″ SG Brandon Cyrus, 2017 6′ 0″ PG Isaiah Coleman-Lands, 2017 6′ 4″ SG Tyler Plummer, and 2018 6′ 8″ PF Kevin Zhang. This years La Lumiere team certainly has a chance to return back to the Dicks Nationals but it will need to find chemistry early between returners and transfers early in the season.

Could some give explanation on offers . We have multiple offers out there for recruits . In this instance Brandon Cyrus , do we have to pull it back, cancel it , delay it put, if SDSU prefers to hear from other recruits first , if Brandon says he is ready to make his verbal . Understand that nothing is binding until NLI is signed .

I highly doubt his Aztec offer "still stands" Ok, I'll qualify it between the four recruiting services, Rivals, Scout, 24/7 and ESPN the offer is still open.

In this instance Brandon Cyrus , do we have to pull it back, cancel it , delay it put, if SDSU prefers to hear from other recruits first , if Brandon says he is ready to make his verbal . Understand that nothing is binding until NLI is signed . Coaches typically put offers in perspective when talking to recruits. If it's a kid like Cage they'll let him know he's a top priority and we want him to join us, etc., and if it's more of a fringe player they'll let him know we're looking at player X and Y, but if those don't pan out we'd love to have him. Even encourage him to hold off on committing elsewhere. With some, say Bailey, Mathews and Moore (but assume all equal talents) they'll tell them we're only taking 1 (or 2) and the first to commit gets the chair. It's a dance...and you have to cover your bases, as do the recruits. Hence why there are a lot more offers than spots. It's nowhere near like football, where you could see 5 offers per opening, but kids are unpredictable. But also know the coaches have a much better read on where a player stands than we do. They'll know, or strongly believe, whether we're most likely #1 or #2 with a kid. Also know that not all offers are real. It's all self reported by the kid. MANY will hear "we're very interested in you" and take that as an offer and mention it to some blogger, etc.. happens all the time. If Cyrus is interested and we're still open to him, it'll happen. They could very well be telling him our priority is Kid Z but if he can hold on until..... And our coaches will be in his ear constantly if we truly have interest, whether priority or conditional. PS. Doubt this is the case with any of the kids rumored to be offered by us. But some kids will even make up offers just to attract more attention from other schools.

So what would be your guess Aztec coaches said to J. MacDaniels or Mathews this past weekend ?

So what would be your guess Aztec coaches said to J. MacDaniels or Mathews this past weekend ? Couldn't tell you but would expect both would have seats at the table if they want one. I couldn't tell you which of the guards is their highest priority but would guess Mathews is up there? Would guess Cage and Leaf have seats being saved until after Cage's visit and Leaf's in home. They'll have a great idea as to where they stand by then and can reassess priorities. I think we'll have a good idea as to how this class shapes up within a couple weeks or so. I also think if McDaniels does have a priority chair he'll commit soon. Maybe needs to talk it over with family... My 0.02 but just spit balling.

I think someone from SDSU's tech dept should plant a bug in the Leaf's home on the in-home visit days..........oops, did I say that out loud? You've gotta think John Calipari and Bruce Pearl have thought of doing that.
