With a top defensive team in the country and Hutson being a big reason for that (as well as a very good recruiter) I would be surprised if he isn't offered a head coaching job somewhere in the very near future. Whether it's a good enough school and location will be the question. JMO.

I think he wants to stay at SDSU and be the #2 guy to Dutch in a couple years.

For some, being part of a constant winner is more satisfying than having to start over at another program, with a payraise and semi-promotion. I think Hut learned that at UNLV.

Per coach Dutcher, Aztec coaches will be out recruiting this week between practices this week.

His family wants to live in SD, a very big factor in their overall happiness. They already tried another location and hated it.

Odd man out in Arizona four 5-stars: Ferguson, Simmons, Trier, Akins. Gone like the way of Justin Simon and the dodo bird?

You mean the kid who plays for UofA, was also a 5 star, has NOT mentioned transferring in any way, doesn't really play the same position as those guys you mentioned, could be huge piece for them as one of their only true forwards and has had NOTHING to do with sdsu for about 2 years ...

You obviously haven't been paying attention if you think Ray Smith is the "odd man out". There is a decent chance that Ray Smith by the time conference play comes will be Arizona's starting power forward, and if not he will be playing a lot (or be injured, but lets not hope for that obviously).

Damn, UA is LOADED this year! A starting line-up that could be Allen, Trier, Ferguson, Smith & Ristic, with Simmons, Parker-Cartright, Alkins, Markanen & Comanche just part of their bench. They're extremely fluid at the 1-4, and could play any of 10+ combinations, including Ferguson as the untraditional 4.
UA & Oregon are loaded, and UCLA should be very good as well. The P12 will probably be down overall, but at the top they're be much better than they were this year IMO. More elite teams.

Great and SDSU can't seem to find/sign a player or players to replace Spencer & Chol. Good grief you'd think with Fishers success the facilities and SD it wouldn't be this difficult to recruit!

UCLA & UA have always been at a level much higher than we are in terms of recruiting, so would never expect it to be as easy for us as it is for them. And given what Oregon's invested in the past 3-4 years, not surprised there either. We're now seeking a higher level recruit than we did 3-4 years ago, so there's going to be tougher comp.
We have a very talented roster and would be OK as we are, but we did have Cage in the fold until the whole Parrish incident and there's still time to find another via the JC or transfer route.

While the PAC did not have a team in the F4 , they have really improved as a conference . They had numerous teams in MM . Have continued to do well in recruiting for 2016 - major strides by Ducks , Arizona, UCLA ( had a bad year last year ), Huskies , even USC ..... Going to be very difficult to beat them in recruiting going forward . Zags have also improved their recruiting / transfers ,so there are major battles for recruits . Our situation came at a terrible time during recruiting season, and we may never know what recruits we lost because of it but we know it did not help it . Can we still add a quality guy now especially at the 5 position - we will see . Also will Malik stay .? could be very important for this year . If so could free up Zylan to help at the 5 if we can not land another guy at the 5 .

Yeah I guess we hold our breath and wait. Am I correct in saying there are 2 transfer periods ahead?

Yeah I guess we hold our breath and wait. Am I correct in saying there are 2 transfer periods ahead? I would consider it one, big long transfer period starting from the day school ends until the day it starts in the fall.
Hopefully things are settled much earlier, but you never know.
