How can that be? Math works it out and makes it clear when the number of new jobs created is exceeded by a factor of five by the number of folks dropping out of the work force the rate will drop. Who will try to spin this as good news? It is horrible even if you recognize that some of the people leaving the work force are retiring.

These numbers don"t include those who stopped looking for work. The number I hear is that 91 million are out of work in this country, and that is pathetic.

Just look at the comment from another clueless Tea Partier. They have to make up lies because they cannot stand the truth. 91 million unemployed. That nit wit thinks every 2 year old should be counted as unemployed. These Tea Partiers would not know the truth if it bit them in the ass.

There are just over 300 million people in the country. How in the hell could 91 million be out of work? Are you counting children and the retired?

No, the true unemployment rate is about 30%, of course. Because Obama.

jesus christ are you STILL drunk? weekend bender? Looking at the figures might make me want to go on "a bender". No economic growth, no job growth, and no leadership from our near comatose political leaders and some would say we have reason to go on a National Bender. Maybe our spending is that National Bender. (I might have replied earlier if I had any idea who you were addressing. The quote function works quite well to identify what or who you are addressing.)

No, the true unemployment rate is about 30%, of course. Because Obama. No, but factor in the part time workers who are seeking full time jobs to support their families and those who have run out of hope in this dismal economy and you might be at about 18%. That is the figure that was quoted in the "Fixing California" insert that was in the Sunday Tribune a couple weeks ago.

According to the Census there are 195 million people between the ages of 18 and 65 in the U.S. included in that amount are are people like Mitt Romney's wife who are not working by choice, the disabled, those in jail, those going to school, etc. The most recent BLS report of Employed and Unemployed By Occupation shows 144 million employed.
Aztec win: How many people are working part time while looking for full time work? How many people were working part time in 2007 compared to 2013? How many people have given up looking for work? Since you have made comment regarding part time workers and people who have stopped looking for work you should easily be able to support you claims with figures and be able to substantiate your figures by citing the source of your information.
Also, are the employment figures in the BLS report full-time equivalency figures or gross employment figures?

I don't think you post on the politics board much - so just as a heads up, win is absolutely full of rush limbaugh and doesn't really ever give useful info. I absolutely guarantee you will get nothing of substance in any answer he provides.

How can you do anyone's taxes? Who would employ you if they knew you can't even keep =Bob as a client? The best question yet is why screw up a thread with distractions that expose your shallow character?
