So, I should just pretend like that isn't his MO? Just live in a fantasy world where past isn't prologue. Get the f out of here with that Being too lazy to research all of Sterk's past hirings, here and at Wazzu, I'm aware of the Rocky hire, which you (and your minion) of course predicted would be a failure - hasn't happened. And I think he had a retread hire for WSU's football team shortly before he left. What other "easy hires" did he have? Serious question, because I don't know. So you come after me when you have no f'n idea what is going on. What a little s---.

FWIW, last night on NBC, Jim Laslavic said he was told that it was NOT due to health reasons or any impending violations.

I get the feeling Beth was "wished into the cornfield" (for those of you who are old-school "Twilight Zone" fans) by a powerful Montezuma Mesa presence.
It better have been for a damn good reason.

She's too damn good (and passionate) of a coach to just ride off into the night like this.

She's too damn good (and passionate) of a coach to just ride off into the night like this. At this point I am one unhappy alum to have been stiffed by all concerned. This kind of crap is enough to make me want to pull back my contribution. The thing that really gets me is that we all know that sooner or later the truth will emerge, so why all of the secrecy. Alums will be pi$$ed no matter when they school comes clean, but this lack of transparency does not play well with fans.

I do not think that it is to anyones' benefit to go into the reason. We just have to believe that this was best for Beth and SDSU. We should all just let it go.

Anyone making a contribution to the Athletic Department has a right to know what's happened. It's akin to being a stakeholder in a corporation that has just lost an exec.

*** email just received ***
The Aztec Women’s Basketball team has elected to hold a private gathering to celebrate the season and will not be holding a formal banquet. We congratulate the student-athletes and coaching staff on a tremendous season which resulted in a Mountain West Conference regular season championship and a school-record 27 wins. We wish the seniors continued success and look forward to the future of Aztec Women’s Basketball.
Thank you for your continued support.
A full refund will be issued for your banquet purchase. If you purchased with a credit card, your card will be refunded. If you paid with a check, SDSU will have to issue a check. Please allow 30 days for the processing of the check. Feel free to contact the Aztec Club Office with any questions regarding your payment at (619) 594-6444 or at AztecClub@mail.sdsu.edu.

Seems like Burns was either not going to be at the banquet or she didn't want to field any questions about retirement. If this was a normal retirement, it wouldn't go down like this.

The abruptness of her departure (I can still picture her at Thomas and Mack a month ago scouting her next opponent with her assistant coaches and having fun) and all this stealthy cloak and dagger crap only serves to pique my (our) curiosity even more. What the hell is going on here?
It really smells big time. C'mon, out with it.

State is public university, they can't keep it bottled up and they are making this worse.
