Hoops wise, they will have a 18 game conference schedule with home and home games against 8 opponents and single play games against a rotation of two teams within the conference. www.themwc.com/genrel/012213aaa.html

Personally I'm hoping there are more details to the scheduling formula than what they released in that memo. We shall see....all kinds of ways to bolster the league's product year in and year out.

The only game that appears somewhat worthy of a national audience is bsu/afa - I really wonder how much someone is going to pay for the bsu package. I would assume espn or whomever will end-up helping them schedule a few good OOC games. - well played bsu.

It won't go on 'til 2020. First, the expansion to 12 teams automatically triggers a renegotiation of the TV rights with CBS. Second, there's no way they will pick up the option to extend through 2020. It's nothing more than leverage, and far too toxic to exercise, and they know it. It would be bad business long term. And CBS' executives are not that stupid. Are you sure abut the 12 team renegotiation? Haven't heard that before and if true - I'm pretty sure they would have gone to 12 teams several years ago.

UNLV, San Jose, Nevada, Fresno, Hawaii. It seems like SDSU will be able to contend for div. championships vs. these guys. Good, winning is what truly matters to San Diegans. And we keep our rivalries with Fresno, UNLV and San Jose intact. I like it!

nice mediocre season to excite our fan base You don't think people would be interested in seeing CSU Fresno and Nevada? Plus, if SJSU continues to play well, that'll be an interesting game as well. Seeing good teams that are regional rivals can only be a good thing. Plus, if they schedule crossover games based on the previous year's standings, it would make for even more compelling football. I like it. No, it's already been proven that they don't.

Like all business decisions, CBS will make the call based upon their sole best interests, Thompson forfeited his and our leverage to them. They'll weigh what's in their financial interest regardless of the impact on us, period. Perhaps they choose to pay out more without getting anything more back but don't count on it. We are stuck, toxic of not. Why wouldn't they exercise the option? BTW, show me the text of the contract that indicates a trigger to renegotiate the contract. I'd love to read it. There are 11 teams, meaning 10 opponents per team. You play every team twice except for 2, which you play once?
2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+1+1=18
Why not either play everyone twice (20 games) or play just play half the conference twice, and half the conference once (15 games)?
2+2+2+2+2+1+1+1+1+1=15
Again, you could do the split by Elevation.

Full Monty, You act like SDSU is never going to be on national tv. I've got news for you.....we are going to be on national tv and a lot especially after 9/7/13. We are under the CBS contract that is not eligible for the Bonus. I don't know how many times It can be said. CBS either gets the first 5 or 15 picks which exclude the Boise games. We will end up on CBSSN and NBCSN as they will pick out the value from the MW. And this goes on until 2020. So in other words for those who might not understand yet....WE'RE SCREWED!!!

No contract has ever been written where someone has the right to renegotiate for an exactly 4 year deal. Stop pretending, it's a 4 year unilateral CBS option to extend the contract, otherwise Craig Thompson would say it's not. If CBS has an option, I am sure it is an option to extend the contract under terms that are better for the MWC. haha. You guys are seriously insane.

To put it in your own words, Let Boise work on being them and let us work on being us. we're not talking about personal life-changing decisions here friend. i'm not telling anyone to change political parties, religion or brand of toilet paper. i'm telling my own fellow fan base they need to change its constant attitude of whining and pointing fingers at other universities. It's not Boise state's fault they positioned themselves for years into a great situation with the BE and the MWC. free verse?

While everyone was busy bent over laughing at us for coming back to the MW they didn't realize that Boise State was taking advantage of them while they were bent over. It'll probably take the other schools 2-3 years to realize how bad that deal was for them with Boise State. Also, it appears the Mountain Division schools could get more money than the Western Division schools.
