The premise of the article would have a lot more validity if the writer heard it from Sterk or Hirschman rather than Hair Thompson.

Of course they have a plan B; they'd be idiots not to. Losing SDSU isn't a big deal to them now that they lost Boise. We'll see what we decide to do.

Bottom line, they truly dont want SDSU with out Boise. There is no legitimate avail west coast schools and they now wanna keep it East...
SDSU doesnt belong in an East Coast Conf anyways

NOt true, both the nBE and nMGC both want SDSU. Sterk is weighing his options for the best deal. nBE is clearly the best deal today, however ADs job is to figure the long run where we fit ...entry and exit fees are critical ...nMGC has already shown they will sell their soul and the other members to get what they need , perhaps agreeing to waive any future exit fees is enough to tilt the balance.

I would imagine Sterk & Co. know the MW isn't going to give them anything extra to come back but they are using the MW and no western partner to try and bolster their deal with the Big East. At the end of the day it's going to come down to where they can get the most money and not about who's in what conference. I just don't see it being the Big East since they have no TV contract and it's gone from $9-6 million and probably down to $1-2 million now and maybe even lower when a deal is finalized.

Remember the story of the frog and the scorpion? No thanks, MWC. It's become your nature.

wow, this is all to familiar... though, it might be due to the fact that I've been watching far too much "Game of Thrones" lately.

SDSU doesnt belong in an East Coast Conf anyways I would rather be in the east coast conference simply for the exposure nationally. We might only get a few more bucks, but when conferences start realigning again, and they will, we will be a more recognizable commodity to the other super conferences. The markets are just too small in the MWC(formerly the WAC). However, if the BCS would give the MWC an automatic bid today, then we stay. Personally,,I would much rather fly into Texas than Wyoming or Colorado.

For a team that won a share of a title averaging 28k, boosted by one 52k crowd game SOLELY for the air show, there isnt much commodity. No offense, its a fact

Who has better airports is irrelevant lol. Sterk and the prez will make the best available decision. The daily speculation is beyond ridiculous now.
