I understand a great OC will be available in about another two weeks, and the Aztecs won't even have to pay his moving expenses. Imagine Norval running the O-Boards for the Mesa.
Don Coryell would not do a better job. Seriously.

Do not know if it is Rocky's or the OC's call but it is important to have a balanced attack , if you have the correct players. Can not just be a " smash mouth running team". But most important is to have good linemen on both sides of the ball to win close games.

Anyone who thinks losing Ludwig would be a good thing hasn't been paying attention.

There were some questinoable playcalls but there was a whole lot wrong with our execution as well. Dropped balls, bad throws, missed assignments, turnovers. I put this loss more on the players. I think they're talking mostly out of frustration.

Other than the pass-call from our own end-zone (especially given that we hadn't shown anything hopeful in the passing game up to that point), nothing else stood out as a horrible play-call. Whereas A LOT of bad execution by the players all night long.

The way I feel right now, I wouldn't mind seeing him exit. Hunter Hewitt's tweets: Hunter Hewitt@HunterHewitt89Now that I can say whatever I want...Andy Ludwig might have cost himself the #Wisconsin OC position after his subpar play-calling tonight Reply Retweet Favorite More Hunter Hewitt @hunterhewitt89Either way if Ludwig is offered the OC position at Wisconsin he'll be gone in a heartbeat. By the looks of it some Aztec fans might be happy Expand KOC tweet: Kevin O'Connell @kevoc7Hearing some recently hired head coaches have their sights on some current Aztec football coaches, gotta keep this staff together #sdsu2013 Expand Reply Retweet Favorite More Add this from Muema's facebook: "I wanted to change it up also because who could only guess what the Aztecs next play on offense was. Yes, I do question the play calling in the redzone there's no way we can drive down the field and not score when in redzone." ...and, it's pretty clear that the players were not pleased with their OC's play calling, either. Zumajames liked it. "thats how we beat Boise!"

I like Ludwig, but I think he failed at taking advantage of the game Muema was having. Play action fakes would have been effective in multiple situations, but he kept sending Muema in motion on passing downs. Let the D hesitate a moment and then utilize your All-American type TE. You don't make your soph. QB have to throw on third and long all night. It doesn't set him up for success. Especially when he tends to have tunnel vision. Dingwell has a big upside, but he HAS to stop locking in on his receiver and fail to see the D in the surrounding area.
