Played some good ball tonight. He's always flashed some ability and, if I am remembering correctly, looked good against inferior competition. Wish he could put it together but I respect that he has been putting in good effort on the floor with the 4 walk-ons at the end of games.

Guys, we were up by 30 points before he went in, and despite Shepard's suspension, he is still ahead of LBF in the rotation for PG. That should tell you everything you need to know about when he will see the floor.

His defense might be the issue. He had two good defensive plays early (block and steal), but then gave up a put back (no box out) and three pointer. Their guards seemed to be able to drive on him.
But he makes great passes and drives real well.

I've always wondered why Fisher generally doesn't let his scrubs and subs in the game until the 1 min. mark, when the game has been safely in hand (plus 15). Tonight we are up 30+ with 8 min to go and the scrubs and subs don't get in until under 4 min's. to go. Have confidence in your team and let them play. Why risk injuries to your starter in mop-up situations.

That should tell you everything you need to know about when he will see the floor. Not a single post above this was saying he would get any playing time. In fact, the only speculation about his playing time was someone saying, "still don't think he plays much." I don't mean to pick on you specifically but I'm annoyed by this...jilted sort of attitude about LB. Yeah, he probably won't play much, but there's no reason to jump in just to point that out like a Debbie-Downer. He was an exciting recruit for SDSU who didn't pan out and still appears to be working hard for the program despite being the 11th man this year. I respect that and I wish others would see it for what it is too. 99% of us haven't been as successful as we want at something we love, we should all understand and respect where he's at.

Seriously! He obviously loves the team/school or he would have transferred for more PT. Not everyone can play mins. Just need him to be there if we do NEED him at some pt. He's playing his role on the team and Im appreciative of it.

Shepard is good, but I must admit I feel much more comfortable with the ball in LBF's hands right now. BTW, he has an incredible move where he penetrates the key and quickly throws the ball back (somewhat over his shoulder) to a wide open shooter for 3FG.

Thats what I was saying let shep develop more as a scorer and use him less as a pg it's a plus that he can handle the ball so well but other ppl like Obrien can too so Why not focus on developing his other skills like his mid range jumper and driving ability so next year he can be the stud we all hope he will be after jamaal and tapley leave.

He needs to develop his jumper during the offseason, a game situation will not help that. He is getting PT due to his defense, ability to get to the rim, and passing.

I understand practice is the best time to work on that but don't you think garbage time like tonight would have been a perfect time for him to work on it in an actual game situation? Also I'm well aware of his strengths and weaknesses he's one of my favorite recruits I have high expectations for him

Always seems to play hard and with positive attitude. Seems like a "team" guy and for that thankful he's an Aztec. Recalling last season, he came up big in the pitt helping to change the momentum of the game imo.
