To many chances for Norm. He only knows how to snatch victory in the second half and give it away.
Rivers is a blowhard with a short arm delivery and not as smart as Manning.
Last year it was Tebow this year it is Manning.

Can't remember seeing a collapse this bad before. For either Norv or Rivers. Has Spanos had enough yet of this high school stuff?

Rivers is a mental case.
Norv just plain was born to lose.
Not a good combination.

A.J.'s got to go, too. Those are HIS players out there playing like crap. That's HIS coach out there leading the team from certain victory to humiliating defeat.
This team does not know how to win. They are losers led by losers.
CLEAN HOUSE.

As much as I have always hated Peyton Manning, that was an incredible performance....He made Rivers look like a big cry baby tonight....Once we got behind I felt that he gave up....Starts at the top though....Spanos will NEVER field a championship team...I was cheering for Ronnie Hillman more than our home team.

I kind of like Rivers but he is a cry baby every week. You need to get rid of AJ. As I told you four years ago when the Chargers window closed. ..Sent from my Samsung GS3..

I can't stand Rivers but the announcers were also blasting our receivers (Royal) for not finishing their routes ....Manning put on a clinic and perhaps Rivers can learn from him. Drew Brees was probably at home in N.O. with a grin on his face....

O Line: Stinks Rivers: He needs to get his eyes checked Norv: This is his last season AJ: Ditto
Worst loss in franchise history.

One of the best games I've ever seen! (of course that is because i'm a Broncos fan)
But seriously, I have never seen a game where each half was so extremely different for both teams. It was unbelievable.

Did I miss something regarding Ryan Mathews? Did he get hurt? Yeah I was wondering the same thing. As for Norv, I noted with interest and surprise when someone here wrote that he has the best winning percentage in Chargers history. I just looked it up and it's not even really close. I'm not saying that I love his "leadership" skills (remember, Ted Tollner is a close friend of Norv's), but it's hard to gas the most successful coach you've ever had. AJ is a different matter entire. You can't fire all the players, but you can fire the guy who's bringing them in. He hasn't had a really productive draft since way back in the day, and I think that was basically the only good draft he's had here. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) On Rivers...I've always thought that we in SD consider Rivers to be better than he really is. In reality, he makes way too many bad decisions and he's slow and flat-footed. His "offensive line" isn't helping much, but he's a sitting duck back there. No one outside of SD really considers this guy to be anything close to an "elite"quarterback. Personally I'd put him in the top half, but it's pretty close. He'd be near the bottom of the "top half." Someone above mentioned the plight of the San Diego sports fan. Well, like many others here, I can certainly empathize. Whether it's the Padres, Chargers, Aztecs...if it's a big game, a meaningful game, on national TV, it's usually gonna be a loss, often a ball-busting, embarrassing loss. I have no problem "gassing" Nauseating Norv. And that WP means nothing to me. "Successful"? Please. Success in the NFL is defined by SBs. Give me the hard-ass ex-tank commander, Bobby Ross - you know, the one coach who actually got us there. The one coach who would be shooting bullets out of his eyes and mouth (I remember him doing just that in '94 mid-game when we'd start to slip and he'd right the ship - and no player was off limits) during choke after Charger choke. Instead, we have Mr. Milquetoast BefuddleSmug. And to those who think that this latest in epic-fails is the nail in Norv's coffin and "he's outta here", have you not been paying attention the last few years? Like some have said, until we clean house from the top (ownership) down, expect more of the same puke in your soup.

I warned you all of this.... when Norv was hired.
Signed,
Redskins fan.
(p.s. Norv lasted 7 seasons in D.C. So if things play out the same way, yer stuck with him for another year)

A complete collapse. Norv coaches not to lose in the second half, it's been his M.O. since forever. He goes into this conservative shell and makes zero halftime adjustments. Anyone could see Denver was going to ramp up the pressure in the second half and blitz. The offensive line suddenly forgot how to protect the quarterback? No Mathews at the end of the game? You're calling swing passes down by 11 with 2 minutes left? Then, when you go hurry up, it takes nearly TWENTY seconds to get to the line and run another play? Norv's three tremendous flaws that show up in almost every critical game : 1. Lack of adjustments. 2. No sense of urgency/poor clock management. 3. Playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Never been more disgusted in my life. I'm only 26, season tickets have been in my family since 1969 and I've been going to games since I was 7. Absolutely the worst second half performance I have ever seen. Philip has to take his share of the blame, but neither of the fumbles were his fault, he had no chance to throw. The post play was a poor throw, definitely his fault. Eddie Royal....no words come to mind. Pathetic effort on his part on both interceptions. Just a pathetic loss all the way around.
