I don't think so. The basketball team is a good example because they improved every year. This coaching staff is taking the team backward. No they didn't.

The players don't believe in him. I wouldn't either. I knew something was wrong at the New Orleans bowl when the Louisiana Lafayette head coach was blasting rock and rap music to warm up. Their players wanted to play for the coach. Ours don't. It's as simple as that. You can see it in their demeanor. For those of us that didn't watch the game, did it seem like the players have quit? Is there any energy?

C'mon guys. Give him some time to implement his system and recruit his players. What's that? He's been recruiting defense for three years now? And we cant keep teams under 30 pts a game? No worries. Alumni and student body have all the patience in the world.

Its great to see everyone jump onboard of the "We need a coach" bandwagon. Nice of you to show up! I say someone needs to have some cahones (sp?) and find an interim coach and begin the search. At least we could have a head start on finding a good replacement heading into the new era of Aztec football.....new conference, new schemes, new recruit options and so on. The admin needs to create a new buzz as we leave the MWC.

Two things. The offense is great. The D is the worst I have ever seen. Demo te Rocky and promote Ludwig.

Alumni and student body have all the patience in the world. Rocky Long is in his FOURTH years implementing his defensive system and it is still putrid. For crying out loud, how many more years do you want to give him? You think five years more will make any difference?

No worries. Alumni and student body have all the patience in the world. Right, and so will the Big East. All the talk about 6 or 7 or 8 wins is over now, or should be. The defense we have seen is incapable of stopping anyone. And while we are supposed to beat Hawaii next weekend, we were supposed to beat SJSU, too. I will anticipate a win over the Warriors, but I will not expect one or be surprised if it doesn't happen. Five games into our easiest-in-the-nation schedule we have two wins: a squeaker over an FCS school and a "domination" over a team that somehow lost yesterday to Stony Brook . In interviews Sterk has sounded in denial about the coaching situation, but that's okay. It won't ultimately be his call anyway. Others will lean on him, and the leaning will start soon.

Trust me, the "leaning" has already begun.
