I agree with insider on this. Maddie literally stalks recruits on twitter, i mean literally begs them to follow him so he can send a dm, and then writes evaluations based on highlight videos and highschool stats. He does not watch them play. Then after he writes the article, he beggs for the recruit to retweet his profile. He doesn't write anything that isn't easy to find on the internet. It was funny, scout reports that sdsu has intrest in wesley clark, seconds later maddie is stalking him on twitter trying to get a profile done. It sucks for people like scott and agustin, that he takes their info and creates profiles based on it. Please feel free to compare my articles against anything published by any source. Agustin and Scott put out quality material, but neither provides the detail or scope I would need to generate a profile. My site is 100% free, there's no sign-up required, and I do not partner with any ad-click campaigns. There's clearly no obligation to read my articles or follow my postings/twitter. Hard-pressed to understand why anyone would waste his/her time complaining about something so easily avoidable.

You would have never known about Clark (example) if not for Scott, to try and track him down and create a profile getting his quotes ect, takes thunder away from their articles, when you wouldnt have known about him in the first place. You base your articles 95% off who sdsu is recruiting, which most that info comes from scout, rivals, or other sources who you never credit.
Also, it isnt easy to avoid because you spam messageboards with it. You spam twitter with it.

I don't have time to follow every site, message board, Twitter, FB, etc.
My experience is that his profiles provide very good information that is easy to read, well-organized, and free. I also would not consider making a post on this message board to to promote a new article to be considered "spam."
If he has to work hard and hustle to check various sources for leads, secure interviews, promote his articles AND he is not breaking any laws/getting programs into trouble for doing so, then so be it.
I appreciate the work, even if you do not.

I'm not really getting your criticism of Maddie. Have any recruits or coaches complained?

On the coach side, I actually have a standing "ok" for Tony Bland once he's wrapped recruiting. If I had the slightest belief my efforts bothered any recruit or coach, I would immediately back off. To this point, that has not transpired.

Follow him on twitter, youll see what i mean. I actually think maddiesdad is a nice person, and a legit fan. But he chases them down, asks for them to follow, then asks them to retweet for more hits. Aztectom did the samething, which i thought was strange too.

People who dont want to pay for subsriptions appreciate the work. He takes videos from youtube (not his), takes stats from cal hi, takes grades and descriptions from scout, rivals, espn. Nobody is ever credited.

I dont take any of the analysis too seriously on any of these sites. I love what they do over at Rivals, but they are just young kids who never played the game. However, I enjoy the background and getting their opinions, just like I do on this site. Just take it with a grain of salt. The real question is why do you take this cause against Maddie so seriously? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using proboards

Would someone close to this kid just remind him about X's recruitment to the Pac NW...it's cold and rainy...X couldn't wait to get out of that place...
It's a wasteland for basketball...DJ needs to come to solid winning program...not a rebuilding school/conference...

First of all, I didnt bring it up. But when I see him trying to talk kids into doing these reports, being passive agressive when they dont get back to him, it comes across a little creepy. He wants hits so bad on his website that he will literally beg the kids. Thyey are literally 15 and 16 years old. Let them be. Also, I dont think its fair to the player to do evaluation pieces on players you have never seen play. If you're going to do this, at least state that in the piece. Anyways, like I said, he seems like a nice guy. I just wish he would go about promoting his website in a different manner.

They need to go through their visits and make their own "rational" decisions on which campus is the best fit for them! It's that simple and we have no control over it. Just wait it out & see how we come out. Smelling like a rose or...........! GO AZTECS!

From Agustin Gonzalez's twitter: 2013 point guard D'Erryl Williams says he has an official visit to #SDSU scheduled for Oct. 12, the weekend of Midnight Madness.
