Brandon Randolph þ@BRandolph3 I did a lot of thinking and it was really a hard decision. I'm going to be a #Wave

"We passed on him."

I just read that Pepperdine has a 2013 commitment from Jeremy Major a ** PG out of LA.
Like Randolph, he is apparently a scoring PG, as well.
Wonder why he decided to make the decision.

Don't know if we "passed" on him but it definitely seems as if we stopped recruiting him.

The one thing not to worry about at SDSU is Men's Hoops Recruiting. We will be just fine.

So because he committed to another school, we spelled his last name wrong?

So because he committed to another school, we spelled his last name wrong? Maybe the O.P. is a Lord of the Rings fan.

So because he committed to another school, we spelled his last name wrong? Nope, just keeping the board consistent.

Scott Sommer tweeted that Brandon has decommitted from Pepperdine. Someone probably clued him in that Pepperdine has mandatory weekly mass, no parties, no alcohol, no co-ed dorms, no football team, no real Greek system, an undergraduate enrollment of just 3,400, and the campus is isolated. Oh, but it has a nice view. EDIT: Pepperdine's average (announced) home attendance last year was just 1,200.

When did Pepperdine change its affliliation from Churches of Christ to Catholic Jesuit?...if the answer is NEVER...then students do not attend mass weekly...

Maybe it's not an explicit requirement to attend weekly mass per se, but I'm more right than you. Also note, 14 required events each semester is once a week. www.pepperdine.edu/about/pepperdine/christiantradition/"The Undergraduate Experience of Christian Faith Each semester, all undergraduates are required to attend 14 programs in the Convocation Series, which are activities aimed at building Christian faith, affirming Christian values, or addressing ethical and moral issues within a Christian worldview posed by current events. Most frequently, students attend the Wednesday morning chapels at Firestone Fieldhouse. Other programs include student-led worship services, small group Bible studies, and individual spiritual mentoring sessions with faculty or staff sponsors. Additionally, all undergraduates are also required to take three religion courses as a graduation requirement: The History and Religion of Israel, The History and Religion of Early Christianity, and Christianity and Culture. Many students take part in Christian ministries that cater to the Malibu campus community. See below in University Ministries." See also, community.pepperdine.edu/seaver/convo/

I mean, THAT is the point isn't it? How this recruit could not have known that---when, I'm sure it's in their promotional material, etc.---is beyond me.
