Pretty cool and impressive if he has been waiting for an offer from us for 3 years. Tells me he really likes us and we should have a great shot to get him.

Prototypical height, great hands - catches the ball at it's highest point, aggressive, good speed and takes a bunch of guys to bring him down. Bonus: he wants to come here. All what's left is his verbal and LOI.

Why us? Any connections at all? Or he simply likes the school, city, coaches or?

Why us? Any connections at all? Or he simply likes the school, city, coaches or? why NOT us? Do I need to make a list with all the reasons high school kids would want to come to SDSU?

we've done well with some big tight ends as of late, I can see TE's wanting to come here.

He probably hates snow, wants to live where the weather is as nice as in FLA but far away from his folks. (shrugs)

In the case of SDSU, I'm not sure the reasons have much substance, since ALL 5-star and ALL 4-star recruits have managed to avoid us for many years, no matter how appealing the list of reasons seems to be to you and me. It's the "sleeping giant" syndrome which NO ONE has managed to awake or cure.

Am I not correct in saying that none of those 4-stars ever played on the team, except for Lynell Hamilton. The others dropped out, or didn't qualify, or became discipline problems, etc. But you get my overall point, yes?

Freddie Collins played on the team but transferred when we signed Hamilton.

Aaron Boesch turned down The University of Miami to play at SDSU. I think he started a trend for these other TE's. Good trend that has started! That is saying something because the U is known as TE U.

Ludwigs offense mixed with Big East BCS level ball will entice lots of kids nationwide to look us over.

That is saying something because the U is known as TE U. After he signed with SDSU, numerous outlets reported he never actually received a formal offer from Miami. It was a "handshake" offer sort of like Adam Dingwell in 2010. They basically say you have a spot if we miss out on our other targets. A report after his visit by the Miami Rivals.com website said he never actually received the offer. Regardless, he is still a good prospect.

He did have a formal offer and had to do the toughest thing in his life and break up with Miami. This is straight from his dad and 100% accurate! His parents saw the paperwork for him to sign but Miami was waiting for him to finish an online class so he could sign. And in the meantime, that is when SDSU came into the picture.
