Not according to Evan Burns I laughed when I saw this. Yes, Fisher is very concerned when it comes to grades. Burns was a McDonalds All-American who was originally going to go to UCLA, but due to his grade, he couldn't. What I heard was he had quit going to classes, so Fisher cut him.

Not according to Evan Burns Steve Fisher has more cases like Brandon Heath than he does Evan Burns.

Not according to Evan Burns Steve Fisher has more cases like Brandon Heath than he does Evan Burns. I recall Burns thanking Fish for some tough love and helping him become a man... or something like that.

Yea, he did that during a pick up game after his second and final year at State. That knee injury didn't end his basketball career, so I felt it wasn't the main reason why he was cut. Some NBA teams flew him out to watch him practice, but nothing came of it.

That knee injury didn't end his basketball career, so I felt it wasn't the main reason why he was cut. Some NBA teams flew him out to watch him practice, but nothing came of it. He only played 1 year at state. not 2.

I'm glad I got to see him play at least once live with Tony Bland at the NIT game.

the blown out knee was the excuse for him to stop going to classes, but he wasn't going to be eligible likely anyways
