lol at you watching this thread so closely lol at you still hoping for Pelle. BTW, is Anthony Bennett going to qualify? I noticed UNLV was his last stop after doing his merry-go-round with the bigs, back East (sans Duke, for sure). That usually means his transcripts caught up with him at each stop. So has he said that he's always wanted to be a Rebel, yet? LOL

His grades are fine...why the hell would PAC-12 Oregon be in his last 2 if that wasn't the case? Khem Birch, the coaching staff and the fans is what got Bennett at UNLV. If you think it was a last resort destination then you are truly mistaken. Pretty funny statement on a Pelle thread though. Considering he failed to qualify once...went to prep school and then failed again. Yet, all I hear is how bad you want him. If you remember back in late December when reports he was headed to UNLV, but then UNLV tried to get him in admissions and realized how in the shitter his grades were. Birch called up and UNLV immediately discarded Pelle for the All-American. He's been deemed unlikely to ever suit for college ball ever since then. Pelle isn't playing college ball in 2012...or ever if he doesn't straighten his act.

I recall it was one of the Florida schools that said he wouldn't qualify and that followed whatever happened in Kentucky. Oregon? LOL. Several years ago we had a football recruit named Lance Broadus who did the traveling show like Bennett did. He couldn't qualify at Nebraska, Oklahoma or "lowly" SDSU, but Oregon somehow got him in. The NCAA is keeping their eyes on the Ducks due to their questionable recruitiing tactics from a year or two ago. So whether the Ducks wanted Bennett or the other way around, he was potentially poison anyway. Nonetheless I hope he makes it in for you guys. It'll be good for the conference.

Oh, so your information is based off Butt hurt UF fans? UF was in the "lead" for quite awhile. Bradley Beal was one of the main reasons of Bennett wanting to be there, but he declared for the draft. If you knew anything about Bennett's recruitment you would know that.. 1. His mom and AAU coach (Khem Birch's coach also) were his biggest influences on his decision. Just days after his UNLV visit with his mom and coach he eliminates UF. Less than a week later he announces UNLV. 2. Liking the teammates and coaches. (Birch and him go back years) 3. A team that will be able to compete. 4. Being comfortable at the school. (he's already been in Vegas) 5. Play style and able to play 3/4 hybrid. Just like Shepard, every recruit has their standards. Shepard's being wanted to be "wanted" and good coaching. UNM and SDSU were going at him the hardest. Fisher sold him on it. But don't worry about Bennett. He'll be enrolling in summer school along with our other freshman to practice and play in UNLV basketball's Canada tour in August.

I read somewhere that he visited all the schools on his list, but some were unofficials. I don't think he ended up at UNLV by default FWIW.

But, but, but our insiders have said to stop talking about it... Correct, he is not going to qualify. And believe me, I would love to have him be an Aztec. He is a difference maker. Shut up. You talk to his counselor or something? Btw, he can sign with SDSU in the upcoming weeks, eligible or not via the prop 48 rule, so stop talking s*** on his academics.

Why tell him to shut up when it is known to anyone who follows recruiting that Pelle won't qualify? Chill out and move on, bud...never happening.

Frankly, and I don't care how hypocritical it seems to say this since I'm reading a the recruiting forum, it's pretty creepy that you know this stuff well enough to recite it off the top of your head. He's been a minor throughout the process...I don't think anybody "knows anything about his recruitment." Everyone should lay off these kids (that's what they are) a little. It's invasive and, as everyone who has tried to follow recruiting closely would know anyway, it's completely unpredictable. I hope Bennett and Pelle both have their grades together so that they can put together a solid foundation beyond basketball.

He can still sign with the Aztecs this summer and take classes at SDSU this fall. Once he becomes eligible he will be able to join the team. I do know what I'm talking about and he can eventually become an Aztec. Don't say "never happening."
Got a source tommy?
