Alex Oriakhi from UCONN anyone? If not Pelle, I think Oriakhi will easily put next year's team over the top. Don't tell me he's thinking of leaving U-Con$! GO AZTECS!

Heard he is leaving and because of their probation he wouldnt have to sit out a year. Oriakhi is a legitimate big guy who can play with his back to the basket and defender some of the best bigs in the country. I would honestly think he might be a better fit than Pelle next year, but obviously with less upside.

I think it's been confirmed that he's transferring and will be able to play right away if UConn's appeal is denied. Kid might be from the East Coast, but he has one year of eligibility left and probably wants to make it count...

Rahon is severely underrated by this board. Love his hustle on defense Best perimeter defender on the team. He's not going anywhere. He'll still be a valuable member of the team this upcoming season.

I think a bigger question must be asked: Pelle is going to be a one and done most likely. Is it going to be worth the APR hit that we are going to take? I ask this because I'm not sure of how that works, but I know that guys leaving early do hurt against it somehow. I'd hate to finally get good and then end up banned from the tournament ala UCONN.

Hey I've got a great idea...each semester we should see what the GPA of incoming freshmen are and then kick out all of the other students at SDSU who are lower than this GPA...in this way we can elevate the overall GPA of the student body...and soon SDSU will become the true "West Coast Ivy" that we all dream about...
As for all of the students being kick out of SDSU for not having a GPA higher than the new incoming students...well they can then go and find another campus to enroll at...because classes are limited and why should we waste our good class space on students who only have a 3.0 GPA when there are great student trying to get into SDSU...
Maybe this will help you to put into perspective what kicking current players off out team is comparable to...
...STOP trying to boot AW, LBF and JR off the team because you all think that there are better players available on the open market...

APR hit only occurs if they are not in good academic standing. If Pelle earns more than 24 credits in his first year (potentially including summer), he's fine and it won't hurt APR.

No one is kicking anyone off the team. We are just voicing our opinions, thats all. Also, no one will remember AW when we reach the Elite 8 or Final Four without him, NO ONE.

Like it or not, some players are getting pressure from the team and coaches to transfer. It's naive to pretend that Fisher and the team wouldn't take Pelle in a heartbeat if it meant sending out AW. This is college basketball, not summer camp. Fish came here to win, not babysit a guy and have him pout on the bench because he doesn't have the balls to tell a guy he's not needed. Guess what? Pelle is visiting tomorrow. Do you think Fisher is trying to waste this guys time? Do you think he's calling him up and saying, "hey, I know we aren't going to have any scholarship openings for next year, but why don't you come down to San Diego and we'll just hang out and chat about life?" If Pelle or January want to play here, there will be a spot.

Depends on what recruiting service you are looking at. ESPN is very different. They have their ranking/grades, but they also have their ESPNU Top 100. Kawhi had an ESPN grade/score of a 92, but was also considered the 53rd best national recruit in the ESPNU 100. Shrigley is not in their top 100. Our only Rivals 150 guys ever I believe were Evan Burns, Marcus Slaughter, Billy White, Kawhi Leonard and now Winston Shepard and Skylar Spencer. Jerome Habel, Tyrone Shelley, Xavier Thames and now James Johnson were Rivals 150 recruits out of high school as well, but obviously they are transfer guys. Would assume Tony Bland was as well, if they had the Rivals 150 back then anyway. *Matt Shrigley was in the Rivals 150 at this time last year, he did not play much in the summer and was removed from the list. Chance he is bumped back up when the final rankings come out. ? ESPN has him tied with Kawhi at 4star 92 rating
