From what video that I have seen of Johnson, he is the reincarnation of Chris Manker. Spencer will not be any good until his second year so we are somewhat screw at the 4 and 5 position once again.

While I don't agree with the OP's comparison of Johnson, I was actually thinking the same thing about needing an instant true center type. If Pelle is really a legitimate 7 ft'er like he's tweeting, he is a PERFECT fit for us. 7' with his leaping ability would be able to protect the paint on D. It really is the only thing we may be missing next year(I love Spencer's ability, but am thinking he is a bit raw to be an immediate lockdown center-type at the D1 level). And I definitely would have loved a shot blocker on Friday! We'll see how it goes though...If no grades, then this isnt even a real conversation.

That is making the sweet 16 which I think is very realstic for next season. If things break right (i.e. we are able to get a 2 or 3 seed) we could go even farther. Spencer is a legit 6'11" from what I read and will have 30 games of experience a year from now. Sure it would be nice to have Pelle but we'll be fine if we don't get him. |

January is an awesome player and probably will break the top-100 in Rivals (and ESPN), but Pelle would fill a greater need on the roster and is similarly dynamic. |
