What happened to Sokoloski?

QB Sokoloski, in his third year at S.D.S.U., has left the team according to the UT. What's going on here? Why did he leave? Is he still in school?

A couple of years ago at the Red/Black game at Helix High, I sat near his parents, who had traveled down from Colorado. Soko didn't look too bad in the few times he was able to play. Some even thought he should be the #2 QB.

I wondered before this year whether the kid might not be better off to look for a I-AA (FCS) or Div II school where he could start rather than staying here. To leave after the season has begun seems to me to be a bad move.

Does anybody know anything about this?

I know he was on the team at UCLA. I think he quit after he got home from that game.

I haven't heard any explanation, but I'm sure he realizes that he will not play here at SDSU unless Lindley gets injured and Westling fails as a back up.

He could have just burned out or decided to transfer to a D1AA school.

I think he probably plans on a D1AA school where he can start and put up some numbers.
