What the state gives you is the same thing Obama posted. I can understand opposing Obama on philosophical differences, but the birth certificate controversy is a game to sway morons. And, there must be more of them than I thought.

That was not the question or the answer. I don't understand what you're asking. I don't understand your point. Deep down everyone knows that Obama can't prove he's a citizen, knows he probably isn't one. So what? What do you propose to be done about it? He will not be removed from office. I know what you'll say because you've said it before: "Well that's a good thing because we don't want Biden." Whatever. What's the point of discussing Obama's citizenship (lack thereof) any further? The fun! You know, the fun! Besides, I like this angle.

Obama was born in Hawaii. There, I have said it and that makes it official.
Josef Goebbles showed the world how propaganda can be used to try to discredit good people. The Republicans to their shame have studied and implemented Goebbles tactics. That is a national disgrace. If there was any viable leadership at the head of the Republican Party, it should have acted to put a stop to this nonsense a long time ago.

What I said is that my birth certificate is what Hawaii distributes. I have one and I am a citizen. Obama got the same thing. If I were not a citizen things would have been weird in our family, because of my father's job. We even had the FBI visit us once because my mother was in a pornographic book campaign. They thought communists were in it. The discovery to get his foot print on his birth certificate is more proof than I need to show my citizenship. So, the whole thing is crap.

If the official method of recording live births in Hawaii says that Obama was born in Hawaii then it is so. If anybody tries to tell me that Obama was not born in Hawaii, I am going to deck him without even a word of explanation. This crap has got to stop.

Win with all due respect to you, and I do respect you, I don't follow this issue, because it is pure fabricated manure. My time is too valuable to waste on vacuous activities. It is the same reason I don't follow Sarah Palin. Her picture is next to the word vacuous in the dictionary. I only respond to these issues occasionally to remind people (and me) that this kind of nonsense controversy is a waste of time when this country has real problems to solve.

I do not comment on or bring these things up to waste anyone's time. This is a real interesting issue with some twists that you would not expect. I think there is good reason to believe that Obama was born in Hawaii simply because it would be very hard to have thought this out this much ahead of time. Who would think that the child of some foreigner and a hippie would go so far? What is strange is that Obama goes so far to not let anyone see his birth certificate from the hospital or any of his college records. Nothing more.

My irritation isn't with you. It is with the people who conjured up this controversy. Actually to back away from my previous position this issue is important to discuss, I suppose, because of what it says about us.

Joe, you are right. This whole birther thing is total crap. The guy was born in Hawaii. Case closed.
But, Joe, you are almost totally (if not totally in fact) wrong on one thing you say. GOP office holders and big name supporters (Such as Krauthammer) have vehemently condemned any and all attempts to label Obama unqualified due to his place of birth. It's the far-out nut cases who are making this an issue. They are the spiritual cousins of those who claim that George Bush engineered 9/11.

Still, I think that more and more Republicans are nut cases. Once you start batting left, it is easy to see that the right side in wrong, totally wrong.

Forget the basic issue of where Obama was born. Look at the very interesting dilemma that the Supreme Court faces.

That is not it either. Go back and look. It will be worth your time to think about this very interesting case.
