The way this week has gone, the good news is that we'll have a lot more scholarships to give out NEXT year. Are we going to have only 17 this year?

Get malcom jackson to comitt. He is btter than barret. What's the story with him? ESPN says he committed to Washington in June but his name isn't even listed on Rivals, Scout or 247Sports. Edit: After some difficulty, I found him on Scout and Rivals. Rivals indicates no commitment while Scout says he verbaled to Washingon, but in November, not June. Very strange . . .

Seems odd, but we didn't have this kind of defection from recruits last year, even in the face of all the turmoil. This year, with some consistency in the HC and another bowl and joining the BE, we get two right toward the end. Last year we filled out our entire allotment I think before the last weekend. This year we're going in the wrong direction for some reason.

You could very well be right, but we can't afford too many more "good signs".

Just look at the pac 12 - they are cannibalizing each other right now.

Just look at the pac 12 - they are cannibalizing each other right now. The question then arises: Do they then replace those thefts, with someone equal or better? Or do they not even replace them at all. So far we haven't replaced anyone that we lost out on. I guess we'll find out next week.

We lost a kicker - because we brought in a better PK (who can also punt btw). I think there is also another walk-on punter.
We just lost Barrett and its durring the quiet period... so don't get your hopes up -not that I'd expect you to.

I think--for me anyway---that expections rose disproportionately with our membership in the Big East. We still have many years of poor play that have to be overcome in recruits' minds and their families. And as many others on here have said, winning fixes a great deal of that recruiting deficit.
