Both Shrigley and Skylar Spencer have elevated their games this year, they are both drawing a lot national attention. I'm sure they would be 4 star recruites if they committed to Duke or some other elitist program. The Aztec's future looks very bright!
Shrigley is very athletic and has an amazingly well rounded game for a High Schooler.

This is the first time I've seen Shrigley up close. Ed Lewis looks more like the younger guy.

There's been a lot posted about Shrigley but not so much about Spencer. I'd love to hear how he's doing and how he has elevated his game this year. Either way I'm excited about these two coming in, in addition to JJ and Polee!

I appreciate that the video showed more than just highlight dunks. Shrigley drove the lane and passed to teammates for open jumpers, hit 3's himself, and showed good poise with the ball at the high post and low post for that fact. Looking forward to having him join us next season. Looks like he can definitely contribute next season.

Shrigley is going to be a beast for us and quickly become a fan favorite.

And I don't care what anybody else says, he was a more important get because he is local. He is the type of guy we lost just a couple years ago, with the only hope that he would bounce back.
He brings a base and establishes precedent. We need to own our backyard and with continued support from the students, university and community we will.

Following the High School scouts for ESPN, Scouts & Rivals they say Spencer is a shot blocking machine (12 blocks last night) and a huge presence on the defensive side of the ball. His offense is still raw but progressing. As recently as yesterday, Josh Gershon of Scout tweeted while watching Spencer play that he couldn't believe that more High Majors had not offerred Spencer (he did have offers from UNLV, Cal, USC & Gonzaga) that he could help them and SDSU was going to be very happy with him, Niel Nieves of Rivals responded, a lot did, but he chose the best school for him!

Spencer will be very important since we lose Green and Shelton, as of today he will be our only player over 6'8" ,unless we sign Pelle or Johnson. JJ and Williams are about 6'7"

I went to the game Friday night. In the first half LCC played zone defense and Rahon scored most of Torrey Pines points. In the second half LCC went to man defense and Shrigley guarded Rahon. Rahon only attempted two shots in the second half. One after a screen that was rushed and the other Shrigley blocked. Rahon didn't score in the second half. Rahon has accepted a scholarship to play next year at Boston College. Good thing Boston College wasn't scouting him when Shrigley was guarding him LCC student section at Torrey Pines needs to be acknowledged. They all wore white were packed into the stands together and standing the whole game. They used many chants that were quite familiar. IBTWWL This is our house Just like last year Just like Football We can't hear you. They are great candidates for the show.

Don't forget about Stephens, he's between 6'8 & 6'9 and continues to improve....he'll be back next year!

Next year will be ridiculous. Thames, Tapley, Franklin (x2), Rahon, Shrigley, Polee, O'Brien, Stephens, Spencer, Williams....That is a lot of talent. Depth, depth, depth.
