Yep and this kid sounds like no loss at all. 13 catches for 150 yards, big deal.

His season stats at Laney College (13 receptions for 151 yards) will be what Escobar puts up on Boise in one game next season!

Forget Fresno State, I hope Boise/SDSU turns into a real rivalry.

I'm going to have to disagree with everyone on this one ... Boise knows how to recruit. Wish he would have stayed

We don't lose any TE's from our team this year. very true, but one thing we have to understand is that College football is about keeping the barrel loaded, and not losing guys that may help us in the future. Yes, Boise has a great football program, one of the reasons they have managed to keep it so is by keeping the guys that theyre recruiting, and not losing them to poachers. When we're zeroed on kids, we have to be able to keep them. No? I hope this isn't going to be a trend. Obviously Boise's win in their bowl game against Arizona st. helped them quite a bit.

Wish he would have stayed With three legit TE's already on the roster (Umuolo is graduating), I don't see it as a great loss since he would have had trouble finding the field until Quigley, Shields, and Escobar are gone. Better to bring in a freshman or two and let them develop, maybe even redshirting and then stepping in when the depth is depleted.

I'm having a hard time believing this story. This kid has no SDSU offers listed anywhere else and we're already loaded at tight end. Something isn't adding up.
