Extremely doubtful: Unlv will lose 58.4% of their scoring, 55.6 % of their rebounding, don't kid yourself Moser is as good as gone. All the College basketball experts have said if Bazz or Bennett, UNLV will be a top 5 team in the country next year....check jay bilias, doug got, andy katz, Dick Vitales twitter page. Moser is staying another year, he already announced it.....UNLV's starting 5 next could be Marshall, Bryce Jones(Bazz's cousin, will be a lottery pick scouts are saying), Bazz, Moser, Birch(Mcdonalds all american).....give me a break....UNLV is about to raise the bar pretty high....everyone on the west coast knows that and has figured that out...you guys will soon enough.....we could be starting 3 Mcdonalds all americans next year....thats kind of scary........you guys have dwayne poole and jj obrien LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL those guys dont even compare to katin reinhardt, Bryce jones, khem birch, daqueen cook,morant.....you guys got one good player coming in and thats shepard Hey troll, both JJ and Poole picked SDSU over UNLV. Oh...and so did Winston.

SDSU fans hope UNLV is top 5 because that means The Show will be berzerk like the INSANE SDSU vs. BYU game last season. And a weak UNLV is not a big deal for us to beat next season. I already miss the BYU rivalry we had and will miss UNLV even more because I love finding any excuse to go to Vegas! I hope you land 'Bazz as that will lead to more top tier recruits for you...and we will continue to use our higher IQ/harder defending teams to pown you.

This is my permanent response to the completely predictable UNLV TROLL which we see on a daily basis around here: The game isn't played on paper. We have beat you 9 out of the last 11. I don't care what your recruit rankings are, because our recruits keep beating your recruits when they play each other in college. Coach Fish and SDSU have consistently gotten the most out of underrated, under the radar recruits, while UNLV has consistently done the exact opposite. As long as Coach Fish is running the show our kids will play harder and tougher than yours. No player or coach is afraid of UNLV, and neither am I.

Thanks for the clarification! I think I've got it correct now that I've taken Jordan Underwood off the San Diego State roster, with the help of Zagtec. If you see any mistakes on my chart now, let me know. I'm nearly positive we don't have an offer out for Aytes and no way we have open offers for anyone else 2012 except Pelle maybe. I'm sure you're right about open offers, but I just go by what ESPN, Rivals and Scout have so if they have bad data, I'm gonna have bad data. FWIW, ESPN is the service showing the offer from San Diego State for Aytes.

Neal Nieves tweeted it late last week I believe. Not a rumor, he is visiting. Kind of surprising to be honest. Very weird situation with how hush hush it has been with him. With him absolutely hating the east coast, crazy to think he will like Iowa any better. But, UNLV appears to be after different pieces, we are out of scholarships, and I doubt he would qualify at any of the Pac schools...I truly think the ship has sailed on this guy. Roster will stay as is with January still being a possibility.

Haven't seen it translate to any actual advantage. Show me, don't tell me.

And if one frees up for January, why wouldn't it free up for Pelle?

Its just a hunch, an assumption is all. I have no scoop or inside info on this stuff. But things have been very quiet on the Pelle front (as they have been pretty much all along, I admit). But the fact that he was or is even considering a visit to Iowa State of all places kind of says a lot, in my opinion. He wanted to come west and by all accounts was in on SDSU and UNLV - and both schools appear to be heading in different directions now (Birch at UNLV, Johnson at SDSU). There have been more whipsers on the January front than the Pelle front and thats a fact. Just speculation. I could be wrong and would not be mad at him ending up here, trust me. Gotcha. After the season is over (which I hope is not for a while) it'll be interesting to see what happens with AW, and if a scholie frees up.

For those of you mad at Pelle because you think he is playing games with schools, don't be. Pelle's recruitment is a part of whats wrong in the recruiting game right now, he is being taken advantage of. He has had many different advisors, lots of this is because of how his family has handled his recruitment. I hope he ends up where he truly wants to go, not where he is pushed to go.

It's probably better for Iowa State that he's not coming this weekend. He didn't like being away from the west coast, didn't like the snow, and didn't like the cold. It's going to be in the 20's this weekend with a chance of snow.

Yea, Im not mad, more confused than anything. Realistically, the kid has his choice in damn near any school he wants. I dont think he is playing games, I just think he is hurting himself with the way things have gone down thus far. If its due to his handlers, thats a real shame. I wish him the best regardless of where he ends up.
In his defense, it is probably best that he waits until the late signing period anyway, by that time schools will know who is staying, transferring, going pro, etc. He should be able to find the right fit at that point.

He will play AAU ball most likely so lots of schools will get a last look at him, while there will be spots opening up for him, some schools will not wait and will just finish their recruiting class before.

Based on a very superficial impression, he seems like a pretty good kid (I can call him a kid I guess, I'm almost 20 years older than him). I really wish him the best. SDSU is lucky enough to be pretty loaded already. Would he make our team better? Yes. But I kinda think the Aztecs will be a top-10 team next season with or without Pelle. Regardless, I hate to hear about kids getting worked over by "advisors"/agents who routinely don't have a 17-22 year old's true best interests in mind...
