In that 1090 interview he also was talking about the possibility of a grad student QB coming in for a year and also said if a guy would transfer in and fit in the system and not be a distraction he would consider him. I couldn't help but think he was talking about Baxter also He is talking about Oregon State QB Ryan Katz. He plans to transfer as a graduate student with one year of eligibility remaining. Katz played in 18 games for his OSU career, starting 14 contests. He completed 239 of 406 pass attempts (59%) for 2,722 yards and 19 touchdowns and 13 INTs. Yep. I've heard the staff is really high on him. It will be interesting to see if he comes here.

I think we have a good chance in landing him.
During high school he was ranked as the 20th best pro-style QB by Rivals. Offered by Oregon State, Air Force, Oregon, San Jose State, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Guess who was the OC and recruited him while in Utah?
Yes. None other than our Andy Ludwig!

The OL can be a place where some problems can form. The OL is mostly SR with few others getting any playing time. Some underclassmen are going to have to step up and start producing. With a inexperienced QB, the OL is going to be extremely important.

I see him locking down one of the tackle spots. Gauld did a solid job filling in for Embernate in the CSU game so I could see him locking down the other guard spot. I don't think we're as bad off as it looks. Ideally, I'd like the OL to look like this... LT - JC Transfer LG - Gauld C - Johnson RG - Embernate RT - Corbett

If the original post numbers are correct, how do you stay under the 105 roster limit if you have 15 commits coming in as well?

It seems to me the 4 best lineman with the most experience are the 4 seniors, Johnson, Embernasty, Miller, and Gauld. I could see all 4 starting with Johnson or Miller at C or LG, ENasty @ RG, and Gauld at one of the OT spots. According to his Scout page, he was an OT coming into the program jcfootball.scout.com/a.z?s=87&p=8&c=1&nid=4311734 He certainly has the size/height to play the position.

The Jones kid who will be a RS Freshman next year is supposed to be a monster. Edward at Rivals raves about him. He should be in the mix as a starter somewhere on the O-line. Big and strong already.
