Hey, no prob. I'm sure of that. There's been many head coaches @ SDSU after him. His son Kevin, played @ UCLA a couple of years ago. I heard his son Kevin played for another school too, before UCLA. HAHA fUNNY!

They've said the same about Drew Brees and Doug Flutie. Does it matter if he was your QB winning games? Except they were talking about them having arm strength issues in the NFL. Your son looks to have arm strength issues in Junior College. Not my son!! Just wondering if you're a QB coach? How do you think a QB can fix that if possible?

Apparently, there is mutual interest. Has SDSU listed as 1st in his top three Quarterback Dalton Livingston (Katy/Katy, TX) San Diego State, San Jose State, Central Connecticutriverside.trivalley.com/football/men/

No, it doesn't. Since Tate Forcier has blown off SJSU and the Spartans' first stringer was a senior and they have had another underclassman who is going to transfer out and they they stupidly - IMO - declined to go after Austin Carta-Samuels, who had originally verbaled to them, IIRC, SJSU has just one returning QB on the roster. That might be a home for this kid. However, I agree with those who say he looks a bit short. Billy Blanton was great but that was 15 years ago in a league, the WAC, which will be two steps down from the one we're going to be a member of in 2013. If we're going to sign a guy who doesn't have four years of eligibility left, it's probably going to be Ryan Katz. Yeah, 6-1: espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/59620/dalton-livingston

Since Tate Forcier has blown off SJSU What?!? !! Did Tate bomb out of SJSU? I was looking forward to the beat down we put on them next year with Tate at the helm. I guess we'll never hear from wolverinedad again...

Yeah thanks none of us know anything about Craft and the offense he runs... Hey, no prob. I'm sure of that. There's been many head coaches @ SDSU after him. His son Kevin, played @ UCLA a couple of years ago. Uh, Sungod888, I think he was being sarcastic. Many of us were "eye witnesses" to the Coach Craft disaster and his total and complete ineptitude as a D1 head coach. Good guy, but he untterly lacked any ability to recruit quality young men who could qualify or keep up with school once admitted. In addition, his defensive teams were awful. But even he was better than Chuck Long---who will go down as one of the worst in Aztec history.

Wonder if this guy is still available? In light of the stats turned in by our QBs in the spring game, I'd say that QB is not a strength for this team. Yeah, I heard sideways rain usually improved passing stats - what's the deal??

PASSING TOTALS (completions - attempts - interceptions yards touchdowns) Ryan Katz 5-23-2, 81, 0; Adam Dingwell 2-8-0, 41, 1; Chad Jeffries 2-2-0, 28, 0; Jake Bernards 0-1-0, 0, 0; Matt Morin 0-1-0, 0, 0. TOTALS 9-35-2, 150, 1. Why don't you search for the article(s) written in UTSD about the spring game. Also, check what the weather was like that Saturday. Hint, it was really, really, really wet. I'm sure Dalton will have a good career at Utah.

Is he at Utah? When did that happen? I was hoping he was still available. Why? Katz is the better fit and better overall for this team. He has experience at the D1 level and with top-level (DI) competition. Plus, our OC is familiar with his style as he runs the style of offense that Katz played in at OSU and was a coach/coordinator in the same league as Katz. Are you an RCC fan? Coach? Or personally know Dalton?

Going by records, the same can be said about the QBs at Mt SAC, Cerritos Col, CCSF, ARC and Butte College. All those teams had none or two or less losses lost season. Recrords are only a partial indicator. Apparently RCC plays win a lower tier or less competitive JUCO league. That's the reason Cerritos or Mt SAC was invited to the state champ game over and undefeated RCC.
If Sipe, Ludwig and Long were to recruit JUCO QBs, then I think most would prefer it to be one from either CCSF or Butte Col. As the coaches at those JUCOS have produced the likes of Masoli, Steele, Rodgers and Ratcliff.

Well that sucks for RCC. But again, records are not solid indicators.
That's simple, obviously he was option B. And for the record, SDSU did invite an RCC tiger as a preferred walk-on, K Wesley Feer.
But the case is closed on the QB issue. We have who we need. This has been discussed not only in this thread but others too.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with Tom Craft and the type of offense style that he runs. You've got to be kidding me? Joe, Joe, Joe are you there? ;D

Case closed? Already been discussed? Who I am I talking to, my wife? I saw that movie over the weekend: "So it is said, so shall it be written". Point is, we are not great at the QB position. I don't care if it was raining sideways or elephants were running wild on the field, but we had five QBs throw passes in the spring game. Cumulatively, they were 9-35 for 150 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs. That is an NCAA Passer Efficiency Rating of 59.71. Katz was 5-23 with 2 INTs. His Efficiency Rating was 33.93. The only thing worse was the running game, where we ran 49 times for 46 yards. What is that all about? "It was raining, so we couldn't run the ball"? My point is that if you have a guy who your coaches think is "Plan B", as you say, why don't you ask him to come in a preferred walk on and raise the level of competition before allowing him to go to Utah and do the same? At worst, he could red shirt and then provide you with depth with the two years of eligibility he has left. I don't think that anyone really believes that everything is great at the QB position for us this year. Why we would turn away a quality walk-on QB who was first team All State for two years is beyond me. Hey great point about the stats. You remember last years spring game when the stats were all-telling, a perfect prognosticator of what was to come in the 2011 season. Oh, what's that? You don't remember last year's spring game? Yeah, me neither.....
