So, Tom Blair had a note in his column that SDSU didn't make the party school lists. I wrote him and noted that he is also an SDSU alum, linked the DA's article and suggested he do something about our 4th straight year as the Numero Uno. He replied that he will do a note on it on Sunday as a follow up to his previous column. A lot of the time all ya gotta do is write these guys. "All ya gotta do?" I call bull$#!+. I say your note included Vic's signature.

I say your note included Vic's signature. Who the f@#k is Vic? I sent him an email pointing out that while it was a good thing that he was recognizing SDSU is no longer on a party school list, it would be nice if he mentioned the academic list we are on and gave him a link to the DA article. I also noted that we are about the same age and it's amazing how much SDSU academics have changed since we were there. And then I told him how happy I was that he's back doing his columns at the U-T, which is absolutely true. Since he left, all there's been is Diane Bell and reading her has always been incredibly painful (not to mention the fact that once she wrote that she spent her summers in the Thousand Islands and when I wrote to her about it, given that the area is my old stomping grounds as a kid, I got a response that she had "rejected" my email). It's really not all that difficult. Over the years I've traded emails with Don Bauder (originally with me disagreeing with him on Petco), Logan Jenkins (we both have wives born and raised in Montreal), Neil Morgan and now Tom Blair (not to mention Zeigler and his editor when Zeigler wrote his screed about SDSU dropping football). =Bob

It really is all that's necessary is to contact people. Most reporters and columnists like feedback and often they get too little of it. Or, more to the point, when they get feedback it comes from bozos with a personal agenda, such as whining about how horrible the U-T is and how they are just dying to see SDSU athletics fail. Of course, that's not surprising given how often we see arguments on here along the lines of "I know what I know". =Bob
