I always want to beat BYU like we did in 2005. Like a drum. Joe speaks the truth!

For me, it never has and never will change: I want a win over BYU more than any other opponent, year in and year out.

Where is the option for Wyoming...

IF the Aztecs can somehow go 4-0 in OOC play this year...momentum and attendance will be sky high. Part of going 4-0 is beating Missou. So I vote for that.
(then just hang on for 3-4 more wins....and SDSU is back on the map!)

Missouri for sure. Plus, a win against them could very well mean a nice win down the road against one of the big 3 anyhow, considering the boost in confidence and level of performance.
Add: And oh yeah, it will make our conference look that much better if a middle of the pack or bottom feeder knocks off a big 12 team.

Gotta go with Mizzou. A road W over the Tigers would be... 1) a huge way to start the season in earnest 2) a massive infusion of confidence for a team that has been down for far too long 3) Put us on the national radar as a "team to watch" 4) Be most definitely be considered a signature win for the program IF Mizzou were to go on to a solid season. Could not have said it better, DITTO

I'd like to see us beat one of these teams in this order:
BYU UTAH TCU
Not that we don't deserve it, but I'm really getting sick and tired of the Aztecs being made fun of by those teams' posters. Even if we don't beat any of them this year, but keeping it somewhat close will prove we're making strides.
Beating one, they'll say we were lucky and will throw out some silly excuse. BYU is known for that. Beating two, will finally give us the deserved legitimacy and respect since the MWC was formed.

I'd rather beat Mizzou than beat BYU/Utah to POTENTIALLY burst a BCS bubble, costing us money in the process.

I voted Mizzou as beating a team from a bcs conference would be huge, they will be ranked too right? Or close to being ranked?... Although sending utah out of our conference with a loss would be very nice. Beating byu is also a close second/third.

<<sigh>> I can see my work is not yet done here. I can't vote...but I think road2march is very wise. Methinks the Aztecs go bowling this year! It's ripe for the pickin'.

Winner: Utah. If Utah wasn't leaving the MWC, Missouri would be the choice. However, Utah IS leaving the MWC and they recruit California whereas Missouri doesn't and this may be our last chance in years to beat the Utes.
Dishonorable Mention: Wyoming. With a couple exceptions, hands down the most obnoxious fans on the MWC board. Never thought I'd say it but they put BYU fans to shame.

Beating AFA at home (or not) will likely be the difference in a bowl bid and beating AFA at home will have some clout versus just geting by the following:
N St. NM St. U St. UNM Co St. UNLV

borg.. you guys itching to take Utah this year? I know you are every year but has the talk ramped up a little more than normal? We are in quite the connundrum. YES...we want to beat Utah like a drum. Lot's of talk up here "will they continue the rivalry" etc...totally pisses me off. BUT...BYU is breaking in a baby QB and we lost our all time rusher, and we play them at their place. Ugh! YES...I would just LOOOOVE it if we beat them...but, the prospects don't look too good. Will have to see how things develope. BYU could actually surprise some people by the end of the year. We actually could have a very good defense if the pieces fall into place.
