I just quit on you all. Revoke my membership. Hah! Not that easy.
Actually, went up to Oceanside with my daughter after the game to visit my mom who has bad arthritis. Nothing like a little perspective.
It was a painful loss, as I couldn't imagine it going the way it did...even though I should know better.
However, it's not the end of the world. We have 2 weeks to get ready for TCU and homecoming.

Absolutely. All we learned is that like 95% of all teams in college football we arent good enough yet to beat a top 25 team on the road. Still a lot of good football to be played. Looking forward to see how we bounce back against TCU.

I was an SDSU fan at age 14, when I was still living in the great white of Northern New York. Only school I ever wanted to attend was SDSU. Only place I wanted to live was San Diego. Fortunately I got to do both.

Do we really need one of these threads after every loss? I don't think you'll get one of these threads after every loss - just after every UGLY loss. And this was an ugly loss. But as a fan since I was 2 1/2 years old (AztecWilliam took me to my first Aztec football game in 1970) I'm certainly not going to jump ship any time soon. But really every loss will be considered ugly unless they lose to Boise in overtime. If State loses to TCU it will be ugly because State can never reach that next level. If it's AFA it will new ugly because the team is regressing. If it's to any other team it will be ugly because State will likely be favored.

If you EVER see me on the ground beside or behind the bandwagon, pick me up, dust me off, and put me back on because I'll have fallen, not jumped. Saw my first Aztecs game in 1946 and have lived and died with them ever since. Was I disappointed today? You bet. But I'm in for the long haul.

I don't think they had played many seasons prior to 1946 so you've seen most of them.

I like the premise of Old School's post, but I look forward to when we really will have "arrived" so someone doesn't seem to have to make these who's in, who's out posts after every loss. We all know we are not quitting on this program, let the bandwagon chaff separate itself from the wheat- it's not our problem.

Some fool I know said he isn't going to the TCU game now because we lost to UM. What kind of fan is that? Jesus

We are still making progress as a program and I still expect at least 8-9 wins this year. We need The Q to be full and loud on 10/8 when we beat TCU.

Almost a strange question - I mean, are there those who drop their support for the Aztecs, or any team they support, over a loss?
I've been an Aztec fan since Coryell and Div II games in the Aztec bowl and sure won't waver over a loss - or a hundred.
Bring on TCU -

With due respect, this thread was unnecessary since I have no doubt that everybody here remains 100% supportive.[/quote] Actually, sgf, I believe that the responses to this thread really show how necessary it was for everyone. It brought many true Aztec fans out to show their support, and belief in the team no matter what happens. If, nothing else it brought us all together in determination to back our AZTECS! What a show of Love. You can't buy that anywhere! We believe that we will win!!!!! ;D
