I liked KT, but the dude refused to care about minor league development. He had good bullpens, and had a good string of lopsided trades, but realistically I doubt we'd have ever won a world series with him not being able to spend past 80 mil. We need to build from within, as cliche as that sounds. At least we're putting money towards exciting talent now instead of Sandy Alderson's Cesar Ramos, Allan Dykstra, Nick Schmidt, etc.

Nick Schmidt is actually pitching pretty well right now. His last start was a little rough thanks to 4 unearned runs, but I wouldn't give up on him just yet. If he can stay in AA next year and have some success, you never know.
